OK... for once and for all... someone please help me here.

I just want to vape. I don't have the patience for dripping. I usually vape 80/20 PG/VG Tasty Vapor juice, several with sweetener. I don't like to fiddle with things. I have an eGo battery now and will soon have a 4-5V fistpack we are building.

I hear all the time... "PRODUCT is the best!" / "PRODUCT just sucks!"

Hard to know what to believe... just hate to buy and buy and buy.

Can't SOMEONE cut through this stuff and make it clearer? What works?

Thanks,

Ask 10 different people and you'll likely get 10 different answers. Everyone has their favorites.

I've used clearomizers, regular cartos and LR cartos. I've had the best luck with the LR cartos from IkenVape. They're the XL size so you can get a lot of juice in them, they don't change the flavor and I haven't experience any burnt taste. My experience with clearos is that they don't wick well (but I use a 60PG/40VG juice) and they taste burnt when you use them with anything higher than 3.7V.

Any "objective" or "standardized" critique/review of different means to convert juice into vapor (meaning atties, cartos, etc.) is impossible because of the myriad variables that exist from one user to another, one production run to another, and even from one moment to another. Basically, it's a beauty contest---"eye of the beholder" kind of thing. What works for you personally gets a thumbs up; what doesn't gets a thumbs down.

Keeping in mind the wise old adage: "Consider the Source," nearly EVERYTHING posted on this and other ecig forums is someone's opinion. And we all know what's often said about opinions, right? They're like certain orifices that everyone has.

I sympathize with your wish to find a simple and reliable way of judging what's good, rather than throwing money at every "new and improved" product that comes down the pike. All I can really offer, though, is that you'll muddle through like the rest of us. If you're lucky, the "muddling through" will prove enjoyable and even sometimes fun. If not, "muddling" will drive you crazy and ruin the experience of vaping for you.

I agree with you on dripping, it's really tedious.

Right now I have a few map tank look a likes, clearomizers and a tank system (vgo-t).

Honestly. I really enjoy the clearomizers the best, they're very easy to use and small. The tank system is easy to use, but doesn't hold that much liquid. A no filler cart-mod would be just as effective as a t-kit.

I love my map-tank-look-alike, but it's just so freaking big, and I really don't want to take it out in public.

The three things everybody is looking for in a PV is Cheap, Ease of use and delivers flavor and vapor. Pick two. If it's cheap and easy to use, it's not gonna deliver on flavor and vapor. If it's easy to use and delivers on flavor and vapor, it's not going to be cheap. If it's cheap and delivers on flavor and vapor, it's not going to be easy to use. These are your choices.

dual coil cartomizers.
Cheap= $2.00 each. They last way longer than other $2 products. (still using my first ones).
Easy= Fill once in the morning, carry two or more flavors in your pocket (put back on the rubber end caps). They hold ~60 drops, and last hours. Easy to change flavors.
Good= Dual coils give great TH and vape. They stay cool, yet burn great.

I disagree, to a degree. I think consistency, throat hit and battery charge duration are more important. It's the reason why so many "better battery" PV's are being developed, especially variable volt PV's because they provide more flexibility to find what works better for the individual. Whoever can develop an atomizer/cartomizer that works as well as one of the top variable volt PV's, will make bundle.

I just got some 1.5 and 1.25 duals and they work good on my EGO/USB/PT 650mah. I am guessing that they will shorten the life of the battery as they are a lot higher draw and that is why they are generally not recommended. My ego battery is now only lasting just a little longer than a standard 808 battery now with the 1.25's. But it is an awesome vape.

I will also second the opinion of the VV's. I just ordered all the parts to make my own with 2 14500's. I am hoping this will be my ultimate PV as I should be able to use any of my clearo's, carto's, or Attys and get the best performance out of each. Throw in some adapters and the sky is the limit...

Someone tell me for sure... Are dual coils safe on an ego?

Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk

Because of the draw required on the battery they will have a shorter time span in between charges and it'll probably lessen the life span of the battery overall but yes they are safe and many are using them.

Other than recharging more you shouldn't notice any ill effects and on the off chance it does become a problem with the lifespan of the battery basic and even VV mods are affordable and probably where you'll go anyway, so try them.

Ask what car I prefer, I'll give you a differing point than most out there. I'll take a Jag or other British Leyland product from the 60's-70's, and don't mind syncing carbs and messing with them. For my daily driver, I use my Mercedes, but for cost efficiency, It's the Ford Mustang.

Same with e-cigs. We all have differing likes/dislikes.
Personally I don't like messing with e-cigs, just like I didn't want to roll my own cigs. I want to vape(smoke) and go. No hassles.
I do refill cartomizers (which I have now despised for nearly a year). Given my options I'm stuck refilling since no one sells filled carto's with a flavor/vapor/ohm rating that is satisfactory. So I use standard 510's or KR808D-1's, and have found some nice carto's for them in the process. Bloog lr , for my 808's...Boge lr for my 510's (and I have enjoyed the dual coils as well).

I like it simple and cig sized. I don't want something complex/huge/obnoxious and scary looking to women and children. Just something that replaces what I was smoking....in size and ease(which is near impossible).

Pig.

+1 on the dual coil cartos! Since I got my Smoketech 1.25 cartos, I use nothing else. I run them on my Ego 650 and 1100mAh batts and keep two with me all the time. Fill once in the morning and I'm good to go all day.

I too have a Riva and a 1100mAh. I do the same thing. I carry a BWB Applewood and a AVE Gorilla Juice. I also often carry Clint Vapewood and/or Kryptonite for a sweeter vape. The 1100 mAh battery lasts all day, even with the 1.25 dual coils.

Personally I like the 1.5 ohm clearomizers. Take off the whistle tip, and use a drip tip or white rubber plug. The clear can be cleaned out if they get funky or you change flavors. Also you can see when they are gunking up.

Over a year vaping under my belt. 3.7..5..6...7.4 volts. Atties, 510,808,801,901 cartomizers..clearomizers etc. But I recently got a few "Dual Coil" cartomizers (510) and I must say..THE BEST VAPE to date for me..WOW

You are welcome warlike36 :) Good to know I helped a fellow Hoosier out.

Dual coil on an e-power battery, it's absolutely trouble free, no mess, no futzing around. I've bought a few mods and will be selling them because I am convinced that this is the best solution for me. My first dual coil still works after using it for a month. I have cleaned it once. I am now trying a clear dual coil and just as happy with that as I was the metal one.
