...some thoughts...when using the condom fill method, always check the top of the filler...is it "slushy" looking, if not, drip a few drops into it until that "slushy" look appears...give a little blow on the barrel end to insure the center air tube is clear...it is then completely full and ready to vape...
...on the second carto...did it never work at all...period...no vapor, no flavor...apparently nothing at all, like it wasn't even connected????? If so, it could be a dud but it could also be the center pin on the carto is not protruding enough to make contact with the batt...take a very stiff paper clip(straightened), stick it 1/4" into the center air channel and gently pry downward...you should be able to look across the bottom of the threads and BARELY see the center pin protruding...do this gently...if it still doesn't work, consider it dead...
...cartos are cheap, buy plenty of spares since they are meant to be disposable...I buy mine by the bundle(15) from Crystal Clear Vaping ...he has these in both SS and black...also sells the Smoktech 1.7 XL cartos(Resurrectors) Crystal Clear Vaping ...these are longer and hold twice as much juice as the Boges... hoosierecigsupply.com also sell these as well as numerous other vendors such as MadVapes, GoodProphets amongst others.........

thanks for the input--i checked the filters when i filled them and made sure that they were wet, but not super wet. i'll focus on the slushy aspect. on that one in question--it worked immediately after i filled it. i tested it with a couple of hits, then put it away for the next day. when i took it out, it was still very wet but wouldn't hit.

I think maybe you didn't fill it completely on first fill. Not filled completely, not topped off probably burnt the carto.

They can hold a lot! The minute you notice flavor drops off, add a couple drops.

i'm thinking that may be the mystery of the first one :/

I would carefully check that center pin on the 2nd carto...they can be fairly easily pushed up to far to make contact with the batt...that of a complete failure of the carto are the only solutions I can suggest...FYI, since, I started vaping is Aug, I have not had a single BogeRSmoktech carto with a dud coil...I have had two that need the center pin adjusted...these 2 things are all I know of that will cause "nothing" to happen...

I don't use the condom fill method and find it to be a poor and ineffective way to accomplish a conscientious initial fill imho. The #1 reason people burn their cartos out too quickly is through under filling them upon opening a fresh cartomizer. Cartomizers may very, but it has been my experience with most cartos that the initial fill should have at least 25 fully retained drops as to not inadvertently damage the cartomizer via dry burning. I fill the cart from the vaping end, which is a slower process, but I know exactly what is going in, and run into fairly few problems. It is important to consider that some batches of cartos you receive have a few that are either DOA or have critical flaws that shorten their lifespan or make them taste awful no matter what you do.

thanks for the advice and i'll definitely remember this one. sadly, when i tried to play with the coil, it still didn't work. maybe my testing was a fluke. so, i'm chalking it up to a doa

i'm thinking now, that the drop method for initial saturation will be my game plan and the condemn method for resoaks of used cartos. this is definitely a learning curve. thank you for your insight, as well :)

i went to crystal clear's site on friday to make an order but the shopping cart wouldn't take my order and while they fixed the site, yesterday, i was out of town with family. now, i went to place my order again and the site is up, but their order taking is limited to regular business hours. i understand it's so that their shipping time is better reflective of their working time. regular business hours tends to be hard for me, due to my own working hours which can run anywhere from 55-70 depending on the week. if anyone can recommend any other place that i can place an order [in my own time frame] with similar pricing and good service, please don't hesitate.

many thanks to everyone that has been so helpful, it's greatly appreciated. :)

Haven't seen that this was mentioned before in this thread. Even if you did fill it properly. You might have just gotten a carto that was DOA. There is many instances where this has happened to people and they have been confused on whether they did something wrong or not.

I've had this happen with a few cartos myself. The problem is QC and it still hasn't been rectified yet. I'm sorry that you are having this problem. Just make sure you fill your other cartos correctly and hopefully you won't have this happen again.

Hi Dandelion, It seems that there is a missing section in your thread. It is very important that you keep the filler of the carto moist. You likely did nothing wrong with the carto that refused to fire, it does happen especially with the less expensive "included" cartos like Most kits have in them. I find that topping off your carto periodically is the best way to ensure their longevity. Usually if im thinking of it i will open the top cap(i use a drip tip,but thats a whol 'nother thread...lol) and if the filler looks dry i will tilt the carto to about 45degrees and drip a few drops at the lower edge until the filler begins to absorb liquid to the top edge. Sometimes thats three drops, sometimes thats thirteen or more.I generally use about 4-6mL of eliquid per day, most of my cartos last me five to seven days each. I do use the 2ohm Boge cartos and i must say that out of all the cartos ihave personally used they seem to be the most reliable. Febuary will be my year anniversary for vaping so any of my stumbles that i may be able to warn others about i will gladly assist.
Also on the vendor note if you havnt found a good source that you can order from when you need to i recommend giving Good Prophets a look in the supplier section.
They carry all kinds of good product, have excellnt shipping and great customer service.:2c:
Good luck Happy Vaping
