@hazozita, Well that's good to know. My worry was that as it dulled, it would flatten the carto out more. Seems like yours is hanging in there!
When you think about how much more a prepunched carto costs and how cheap these piercing valves are, we are probably recouping the cost of the valve after 5-10 cartos.

Absolutely in terms of cost recoup! However, have you noticed how much the prices have gone up? I got mine off of eBay a while back for about $4 shipped. Looked last week to get a second one to give to a friend, and couldn’t find one shipped for less than $10. Lowes and Home Depot don’t carry them in my area. I guess the word is out that they do more than tap HVAC lines!

Wow, are you guys just changing flavors that much? You should be able to run multiple tankfulls through just one carto.

Yes, we are making our own juices and tend to test new juices that have been steeping.

I've got the Supco. What do you guys think of it compared to the QT-1? Mine doesn't deform cartos at all, but the holes are a little small.

I usually punch 3 holes and that seems to work well in all my tanks.

You can buy the bullet valves and qt-1 valves at any "Refrigeration Equipment-Parts & Supplies" store and a majority of well stocked plumbing supply stores. Check out your local shops before you waste $4-$10 in shipping costs needlessly.

I just picked up BVP-31 and love it. Works much better than the saddle valve from Ace. I like how it stops in the perfect spot while punching the hole. I had a tendency to turn the saddle valve in to far. Takes little bit longer to setup but works perfect. Got mine for $6.00 shipped from amazon.

Update: My Supco has punched over 100 holes so far and it isn't even close to dulling out.

Not 100 cartos, but 100 holes lol. I punch 3 holes at a time usually. Either way, this punch is definitely built to last

This is my first try with carto's and I bought 15 unpunched Smoktech 1.7 ohm "Resurrectors" from CCV to try them out and love them enough to start shopping for a tank. Woot!
