Am a carto man on Grand. Use Boge's and Resurrectors, this batch of Resurrectors giving me trouble. Is carto dead if it is giving a reading of 1.8 to 1.9, on the Resurrector?? I have discarded some of them with these readings because either the flavor decreased or draw became way to tight, I am conscious of flooding so I blow out carto at first sign of decreased vapor or gurgling. I'd hate to be throwing out good cartos that have a good reading on my meter. Thanks.

I've read posts about both Boge and Resurrectors (smok Tech) cartos working horribly fresh out of the box. The ohm reading doesn't indicate anything out of the ordinary. Does your meter subtract the resistance of the leads or do you have to subtract it from your reading when you test resistance on attys and cartos? My meter reads 0.2 ohms when I touch the leads together, so I subtract that from the reading on an atty or carto.

Those resistance readings sound right to me also. I have one that has a tighter draw than the others but I'm sure that is due to gunk built up on the coil since I've been using it for a long time with sweet juice. Since they are cartos you can't dry burn the gunk off so if the flavor is bad and you're getting a tight draw toss them.

The only way I determine a carto is dead is when it stops working. Although, I do throw it out when I get a burnt flavor as well. The flavor can decrease when there's enough condensation that builds up and goes back into the filler material during usage. What type of juice are you using in your cartos? That can have an effect on the draw as well.

We have been confirmed atty users for a year, with a few exceptions, here and there. We started using the Resurrectors a couple of months ago and love them. For our juices they give better flavor than any of the attys we've used and we've tried almost every atty available.

That being said..... In a year of vaping I've only had one spring collapse. Last month I had springs collapse on two different REOs using two different Resurectors and the Resurectors were probably from the same box. This leads me to think those two Resurectors were bad to begin with and it was probably the insulator ring between the negative and positive post which is a common cause when attys short out and collapse the spring.

We are still using the Resurectors and will continue to do so, as we are so happy with the flavor and vapor using them, but we inspect the screw end +/- insulator before putting them on the REO. I keep extra springs and it is easy to replace the springs on the metal REOs but you need soldering skills to replace the spring on the WOOD REOs.

We will continue to use the Resurectors but I expect there may be more collapsed springs, in the future. Hopefully inspecting them, first, may help to reduce the insulator shorting issue.
