How do I get them to actually take in juice? I've got my holes punched(pretty big) and I've tried filling it with juice before putting it in the tank. I can't use the method with filling the silicone cap because theres a stopper by the connection. Even with a full tank the coil still glows red. Also who the hell designed this washer cap thing? Why not use threads and make it easy to use? I've already wasted about 5ml of juice from this.

What do you mean by a "stopper" by the connection? The way I fill mine is to stick a toothpick in the center hole so no juice gets in there. I then squirt juice in and gently blow in it with my mouth. I repeat that process until it comes out of my punched holes. Stick it in the tank, fill the tank and take a few "dry" hits without hitting the button. It hasnt failed me yet.

There's just a little piece by the threads that stops it from coming out. I think they came with my ibtanked tank. Also I can get it to work a little bit but then I get dry hits after just a few drags. I am using a think juice but I don't think that should make much of a difference. It doesn't seem to want to use the juice in the tank.

Yup. Is the tank supposed to be full or does it not matter? I think it's primed well. It has about 15 drops in it.

It shouldn't matter but I usually don't count drops when priming my cart. I'm sure 15 probably isn't enough though. Are you using standard or xl's? I use the same method jaysix does but instead of blowing I shake the liquid down like its a thermometer. So I add a couple of drops let it absorb & then shake & repeat. I also wait to see that the punched holes are wet as well. It's normal to get some liquid out of the bottom but it doesn't mean that it's fully primed.

I tried filling a carto up with plenty of juice to keep the material wet(probably around 30-40 drops). The top is still completely wet. It seems like it doesn't wick to the coil fast enough. I got dry hits after just a few drags. It won't even accept more juice. Is there any other style of carto that works better?

Your vape technique may not be best suited for a cartotank. Cartotanks require a slow, deliberate, gentle draw of 3 - 6 seconds in length to allow juice from the tank to replenish what you vape from the cartomizer. Think sucking on a straw that's in a thick milkshake.

You can get dry hits from a string wicked delivery device like a clearomizer or Vivi Nova tank, too. With those, you need to frequently tilt the device to keep the string wicks wet, or they dry out as the juice level falls.

If you find your techique style doesn't fit wicked delivery devices, consider a bottom feeding box mod like a Reo or VMod from Vampage. These devices are like dripping on an atomizer but with the benefit of having a tank full of juice. These use no wicking devices at all.
