carto tanks Better flavor better vapor production after youve went threw the learning curb no mess or leaks. Youed be smart to skip the DCT tanks like most cheaper stuff they have issues.
Get a glass tank with SS caps. I like Ikenvape platinum cartomizers or smokteck 4.5s or 5.0 but that is really just preference same as Ford verses Chevy verses Dodge
A slap yo Mamma tank filling tool is a must along with a carto punch I like the one from VIP vapors but all work with varying degrees of ok to great like most things cheaper is not better.
There is a reason why in the beginner section lots of discussion about whats the best clearo or ViVi to use then a few weeks or months later the same people are asking the same thing you are.

It depends on personal preference and what types of juice you vape. Personally, I prefer carto/tanks over clearomizers. Generally speaking, they work better for me and offer a better taste. I favor glass tanks with Boge cartomizers. However, NET juices clog up cartomizers quickly, so I tend to drip those or use them in a clearomizer.

That's like asking which is better-chocolate or vanilla ice cream. It's just personal preference.

I'm not a newbie. I've been doing this for eight plus months and I have all kinds of PVs including a Provari and a bottom feeder. I've tried all different kinds of cartos and clearos and I've tried dripping. The only thing that works for me is clearos. If you are getting a gurgling sound, that means you probably have liquid in the center post. You've either filled it too full, dripped liquid in it while filling, or you haven't screwed the drip tip on tight enough to keep liquid from getting in there. I use the Vison Stardusts with the replaceable heads and I love them. Others hate them. It is what it is.

For me personally, the best flavor comes with a clearo. I have had nothing but bad luck and burnt taste with boges and tanks and yes, I filled them correctly. I just don't like the taste of the polyfill. But as with most things vaping related, to each his or her own.

You can get as many answers as there are types of devices. Everyone has their favorite and believes their way is the best. As others said it boils done mainly to personal preference. Personally I prefer dripping over any other method however it is not a very good method when driving or away from the house much of the time. Because of this I do use other methods, have tried most out there.

The Drunker rebuildable tank - I recently bought one of these from Mad Vapes and I really do like it, great vapor and flavor. It is similar to the Vivi Novas in that it is a wicking type but I haven't had the dry hit issues I had with the Vivi. It will leak if left on it's side for an extended period of time however and you will need to learn to make coils or buy pre made coils.

Carto Tank - I use this the majority of the time I am driving in one of my Sin City can mods. I also use carto tanks on my e-pipes. My favorite set up is a glass tanks with pre punched Ikenvape cartos. IBTanked sells a good tank at a very reasonable price. Flavor and vapor with this set up is pretty good but a few notches below dripping. For what you asked about in your OP this would be my recommended set up.

Clearomizers - Never been overly fond of them but the Kanger T-3 works pretty good for me. I also use the Vision Nano in my Mad Vapes Gripper. It holds more than a standard fiber fill carto and you can see how much you have left.

Tank Atomizers - I just got a MOV Cannon rebuildable for the eGo. It used premade atomizer heads and a small tank to feed it. I have just started with it so the jury is still out but I have noticed while the flavor is good the draw is a bit airy.

It is kinda cliche but you do need to try delivery devices for yourself, what works for one person doesn't always work well for others.

:thumb: I agree with the above comments. Every individual's gear and juice is different from others. Their expectations are different from others. It's fine to ask for opinions on individual products or a category of products to help you decide what to try, or if it might be worth your investment and time, but the only true way to know is if you actually try it out on your gear and juice.

I use cartotanks exclusively. I'm not one of the few who claim they can taste the polyfill in a carto. A cartotank provides me with very good flavor and a vape that is smooth. I prefer a "cooler" vape, so I use single coil cartomizers of the appropriate ohm rating for the voltages that I use. I use the following SAFE VAPING POWER CHART as a general guide: Vaping Power Chart 2.0 - Imgur

I use the "laser-drilled" cartos in my tanks. I have tried punching my own cartos with a carto punch tool, and also purchased "tool-punched" cartos, but prefer the former. Tool-punched carto's invariablely deforms the carto out of round, or to an oval shape instead of round. This can make passage through a tank's end caps difficult and cause undue stress upon the fragile o-ring washers that are in these endcaps. Damaged end caps are a reason that tanks leak liquid.

Laser-drilled cartos do not have the above issue, and wick juice perfectly well despite the smaller size holes. They also provide me with an expected level of consistancy carto to carto with no human error involved. I find it useful to have both 1 and 2 holes available. One hole is good for any juice that has 50% or less of vg; two holes work better for any with over 50% vg.

I highly recommend a tank accessory tool with the following shape. This tool will help protect the o-rings in your tank from sharp edges of the carto during assembly and filling. They also greatly speed up the assembly and filling process. I can assemble/fill a cartotank in under 4 minutes, and refill one in 1 minute using one of these tools.

The is a slight learning curve to using cartotanks, as there is to any juice carrying device. The most common issue with these is flooding the cartomizer, which in all probability is from user error from either assembling the cartotank improperly or not filling the carto or tank properly. Knowlege of an accepted method of filling the carto and tank helps minimize the learning curve.

I used clearomizers months ago when I was using eGo size batteries and before I switched to using mods. I've also used the clearo style tanks. I stopped using the clearos when it melted within minutes of filling it with a polycarbonate-unfriendly juice and quickly began using pyrex cartotanks. I've used the string-wicked clearotanks side by side with the same juice, and found that the cartotank won hands down as far as flavor production.

Just read all the "why is my clearo not working" threads. They're all over the place. Here and in the clearomizer subforum. Look for anything with a "ViVi Nova" or "Kanger T3" in the subject title with the words "Need help" and "Questions".

There's like, a dozen or so of them. That should be enough reason to explain why clearos aren't all they are supposed to be.
