Cartomizer and drip tip questions

I really like the mega atts/carts too. What is the best way to refill or mod the carts? It seems they dry quickly and juice is wasted in the polyfill, plus they leak. What's your trick?

The vapor tends to fade when they are about 1/2 to 2/3 empty. You can put the caps on, put it in a bag battery end down, and give it a spin (search youtube for "Taryn Spin") to bring the remaining fluid down to the burner. It doesn't take much and when I do that, mine vape good for another half-day and will take almost the full 2ml fill when they start getting weak again.

They also work better with thinner liquid. Straight VG just won't flow as well as PG or a blend. With straight PG in mine, I can refill almost 1.5ml when they fade the first time. I just got in some 50/50 blend and, from what I see, expect it to work pretty well too.

There's no good way to mod them, but I've had good results filling by moving the needle around the bottom of the cart for the first 1-1.25ml of fill then lift the needle a bit to put the rest higher in the carto. I consistently get 1.8 - 2ml of fluid in on every fill. After filling, blow through the mouth end into a napkin then wipe out the battery end real good with a tissue. Snap the caps back on the mouth piece and vape all day. You do waste a little juice, but the trade off is the all day sucker

As for the carts(not to derail the thread), basically, when they get low you can either lay them on their side occasionally, or cart side down. You can't chain vape the carts down to nothing, but if you do it gently you can get it down to less than 1ml. They are not perfect, and I haven't figured out a mod that works yet.

Texas...the eGO mega cartomizers are a whole different ballpark than regular ol' cartomizers. I use regular cartomizers all the time with no problem and use a drip tip with them. But those MEGA things are nasty. I'm guessing the reason you are "getting conflicting info" from the videos, is that you are confusing the "MEGA" type cartomizers with just plain old regular cartomizers. Its like comparing apples and oranges...completely different operation. You can use a drip tip on a regular carto with ease by just removing the white cap with the hole in it at the top of the carto. There is no white cap on a MEGA, just a condom. I was never able to get much more than one ML of juice in the MEGA carto either...leaked like a sieve if I tried. So why bother with it...you can get a ML into a regular old carto easily. I bought 10 of those MEGA types and ended up tossing them in the trash. Get yourself some REGULAR 510 cartomizers and you can drip by taking off the white tip with a paperclip like someone else mentioned on this thread, plug in your delphin drip tip where the white cap was, drip by adding a few drops down the center of the drip tip...and vape away. Toss those Megas, they are a nightmare. Just my opinion. Good luck, Tex.

I have the mega cartos for my eGo and love them! They are so much more consistant with the juice delivery then the atty & carts. I found the first fill was the hardest but the video YouTube - kalojado's Channel made it easier to visualize what I was doing. I also found that if you set the carto on top of a 6ml bottle the juice will flow right into it as it comes out. I can get 1.5 to 1.8 ml in a fresh blank carto and usually refill with 1 ml. My issue is the with the regular carts my eGo tends to leak and I chain vape enough that I constantly seem to have to top off. I just ordered the new CE2's for the 510 and am going to give them a try. Can't wait!

Good catch. I had the OP in mind and misquoted. The mega cartomizers also have that volume of fill that holds leftover juice that is slow to wick to the hot end.

Spinning a mega cartridge would certainly make a mess
