So I ordered a Mini Sub and some Boge 2.0 cartomizers.

The first cartomizer performed amazingly on my Lavatube at 5v, and didn't burn. It got gunked up though, so I cleaned it (drying atm).

The second cartomizer is starting to burn, at 4.6v. It just tastes like chemical. It doesn't seem to be wicking juice from the tank well enough (by now, it should be empty). I've tried dry "toots" while it's not firing, as well as unscrewing the tumb screw and releasing pressure, then doing some more dry toots.

It'll suck up a little juice, and the first couple of puffs would be fine, but afterwards it's right back to burning. I don't chain vape either.

I'm using 80/20 juices that are very clear and transparent (from VaporRenu).

Any tips for me?

Sorry to hear that. I am rather new to this, and when I found the filler burning in my carto's it made me think how I wanted to get away from them. I just got a storm clear tube mod from stormys and the difference is amazing without the filler material in there. I just hooked it up to a battery box from radio shack with 4 re chargeable AAA bats. Coming out at just over 5 volts, and the 2.4-2.6 coil in the tube is really awesome, I did not know what I was missing. The vape is clean and smooth and no burn taste. Now I have to figure out how to get a switch and really mod it right. I will never use the old cartos again. good luck

2ohm cartos are best vaped at 4.2V. Which is the limit before it gets burnt tasting. So, try lowering your voltage on those. With the carto that is tasting burnt right now. Toss it since your inhaling smoke right now and not vapor. Next time when you taste that it's getting dry. It's best to drip 5 drops and letting it sit for a few minutes to let to re-wick before vaping again.

Well, I guess that last carto was bad.

I cleaned out my old one, and I'm using it at the moment. It's working just like new.

I suppose I'll order a few 5 packs of 3.0's this time around, and go get myself a saddle valve.

Whatever I did, I just couldn't get the defective one to wick properly.
Be sure you get it replaced by contacting your vendor. Its DOA
