Cartomizer into an atomizer?

Is it possible to turn a cartomizer into a standard atomizer? IF so, is it hard or fairly easy?

Actually yes you can turn a cartomizer into an atty.. and it isn't too bad... I usually do it them when the filler is spent from too many refills, but I have done them right out of the box as well since I got them cheap.
