Goodmorning ECF!!! I just wanted to say that I received my Provari yesterday and I'm in love!! I now understand. I have been using atomizer tanks since I started. Clearomizer, nova's, splitfires. I was at my vapor store and I wanted to try something different. So I bought a ego mega dual coil 1.5ohm cartomizer. I love it! Vapor production, flavor, and for some reason I love the "crackling" sound. What I'm looking for is a tank system for a provari? What do you recommend? Do I need to buy a a cartomizer then find a tank that fits it? Or can you buy one set up? Just a little confused.. Can you help? Thanks!

There are two tank options:

1) Carto Tank. In this system you take a standard cartomizer and punch holes in it (you can buy pre-punched cartos). The carto fits through the middle of the tank and you then fill the tank. Juice slowly flows through the holes and saturates the filler. You simply replace the carto when it longer functions well.

2) Wick Tank. In this system you simply poor juice into the tank, occasionally tilting the tank to allow juice to wick into the atomizer. These devices are often rebuildable or allow you to replace the atomizer.

Not sure I would say they are starting to make an appearance, they were common when i started vaping almost a year ago. Most tanks are pretty standard meaning the can use just about anyone's cartomizer. But you do need to know a couple things...

1. Buy stainless steel carto without any wrapping. For example you will see cartomizers with black paper wrapped around them, they will not fit and peeling the paper is a real pita.

2. Make sure you are buying the right length cartomizer for your tank. Some tanks use a standard length, most use XL lengths.

3. Cartomizers for tanks have to have holes near the base for juice to wick into the cartomizer. You can buy the pre-punched or punch them yourself with a carto punch or a simple saddle valve.

4. Some juices can crack inexpensive poly tanks. Cinnamon, citric flavors, extreme methols but as a general rule you are safe with a poly tank. Many do prefer glass for this reason tho.

Tanks come in all sizes and designs. If you just want to see how you will like them I would start with a pretty simple DC Tank like this. Comes with punched carto and drip tip.

Hi, brockadams. Click the links in my blogs under my avatar. Much of the info you are seeking are in those articles.

I will give a huge thumbs up for the IB Tanked tanks that TNT recommended above. I have five and will be getting more as I need them. The slimmer 19mm tanks fit great on a Provari. I'll include a pic below. And for just $20 each, you can start out with more than one quite inexpensively.

IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us!

Choose the length of tube to fit the length of carto you wish to use. 35mm cartos like Boges will use the standard size glass tube, while 45mm cartos will use the extra long tubes. They now sell pre-punched cartomizers on the website, in addition to drip tips.

I can also highly recommend the Ikenvape punched cartomizers recommended by Absintheur. I am using one now in my IBTanked on the Provari.

Just a caution about the cartomizers with ce2 insides, they have had very mixed review so far.

Also want to highly recommend the tank accessory tool by Big Daddy Vapes. The PBusardo review video is in the blog.
