In the land of no hills and red dirt
Here, get this one and you'll save enough to buy a brick and throw it through Target's window.

Stupid link won't post. Google Globalindustrial.com. Looks like the have the same thing for $54.

See, old people can use the internet... I stumbled on it by accident, I was looking for free porn sites.

LMAO!!!! Awesome!

But don't throw out your cartos if you go rebuildable. I like to carry one with me for insurance, along with a spare set of batteries.

You wont need 6 volts. 3.7 with the right coil will rip your lungs out and ask you if you need more

The mod master is CORRECT .....!!!

Plus using a single battery that fits much better than two RCR123a batts is a huge plus in my book.

I did the 6v with 3ohm bogs cartos for a few months. I found the cartos just didn't last long enough while still tasting great.
I would try some 1.5 ohm attys at 3.7 and see what you think.

The Cisco bridgless 1.5 attys are my favorite value for mfg atty. I prefer the 306 version but the 510 is good as well.

But as others have said a RBA and a tiny bit of learning will have you building an atty far better than any you can buy off the shelf.

Wrap yourself a nice 1.1 to 1.3 coil and you will be very very pleased. And the cost saving is huge once you get it figured out. Nothing like building a brand new atty for 5 minutes of your time and 6-8 cents :D

Yeah, I'm frustrated with the consistency I'm not getting from the boges,
as well as the stiff draw.

That makes sense. The lesser ohms would make it a bit warmer at 3.7volts.
What determines the ohms of the coil? Is it the amount of wraps around the wick?

its really just the length of the wire but the more wraps the longer the wire will be so it ends up the same.
with 32 wire i use 3-4 wraps to get a LR coil but i like 30 guage and 5-6 wraps better more heat and vapor

Just got my Reomizer yesterday. It's my first atomizer,so I didnt know quite what to expect. The vape is much drier than with the cartos and literally no resistance on the draw. It seems to get better as I use it. The flavor seems much truer but less sweet.I used the 32 wire on the 2.5mm wick with about 4 wraps. The vape still seems too cool though. What number of wraps for a 1.3 coil?

It varies, the ultimate indicator is the overall length of the wire in use. Best bet is to get a multimeter (less than 10 bucks at harbor freight, etc) or one of those dedicated resistance meters you see popping up on vendor sites these days.

As for the airy hit, try partially covering the air intake hole on the cover. I use a ring cut off the end off a carto condom slipped over the cover, but you could just do it with your finger if it isn't too hot.

Your wraps must be "fatter" than mine because I use 32 gauge Kanthal and usually make about 4 or 5 wraps for a 1.5 ohm atty. I wrap around a needle held against my wick material. I use cotton wicking....embroidery thread....that is pretty thin, so I usually use 3 or 4 strands. I've found that for me, every extra wrap equals about .2 ohms. If you're wrapping a bigger wick, then it will be a little higher. Are you using silica? Do you double it? Maybe just use a single strand and do about 4-5 wraps and see if that doesn't lower the resistance. Worth a shot. :)

I use single strand of silica. I tried three wraps today and it just gave me a burnt taste, so 4-5 is probably the ticket. Is there any way to wrap the wick so I can taste more liquid and sweetness? Can I get the embroidery thread at Michaels? If I use more wicking material will I taste more juice?

Yes, you can get the embroidery thread at Michael's....it's DMC 5 Perle Cotton. Cheap. And I don't know about the taste with more wicking material....sorry, no help here. I get good taste from the cotton wick, but taste is very subjective and who knows what I call good taste compared to anyone else. :)

That's pretty close to what I'm looking for. I'm thinking more like this though. More light, 3x magnification, and 40 inches of extension. I have a tower desk that I do this stuff on, and surface space is at a premium. This one can be clamped to one of the tower's shelves up top.

I've had several of the elbow type for my work benches. I especially like the ones with electric plug boxes built in. Be aware that a weak or strong point is the tighten assembly at bends. A couple I've had, over the years, came with 2 or three base mounts including round, weighted bases. The weighted bases are pretty much interchangeable with most lamps of this type.

We have a monster brass floor model but with shade that we've had since 1980. Quality but costly. It's great for beside sofa or chair. DH put an inline dimmer on it years ago. The arms are > 4ft so you can imagine how heavy the rectangular base is. I have a smaller shaded one clamped onto side table beside my sofa seat. Findind one with small shade was difficult. I put dimmer on it too.

Using high wattage bulbs they provide more than enough light for task work. Two of them pointed over and at objects to be photographed eliminates need for flash. Normal use dim them down.

George, after a while you will resign to the fact that we really do age.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

I've had this style of magnifying desk lamp for years. It comes in VERY handy for all of my wick & coil wrapping. :)
