Being new to the whole PV thing, I see people mentioning cartomizers and wondered what they are. Looks like a combination of the words cartridge and atomizer. Do you need an atomizer if you have a cartomizer? After someone kindly explains what a cartomizer is, could they explain what pros and cons there are to using one and if you use them do you need any special mod to use them on a 510? Thanks in advance.

"" do you need any special mod to use them on a 510""

No, unless you want to use non 510 cartomizers..

CONS: Disposable, will need to keep replacing them regularly however, I only go through one a week nowadays so less than $2 a week is nothing compared to having to replace an atomizer..

PROS: Less refilling, no messing with cartridge filler, no burn atomizer taste, and everything else....

They have made vaping A LOT more enjoyable for me. Not having to deal with the hassles of cleaning/refilling/etc/ of the cartridges and getting nasty burnt vape every so often has made cartomizers wellllll worth it.. You will probably not regret trying them out!!

I've been using cartomizers from day one. I can get 40 drops or more into a Vapor4Life blank (see taryn spin over there) and it goes for a very long time (i chain vape, mostly use extra-long manuals). Can't imagine dripping constantly; tried the 510 and was very unimpressed. (That's just me - many love 'em.) It really seems to me to be by far the easiest and most hassle-free way to go. I use tasty vapor juice a lot - but on the fly the prefilled cartos are really dandy for me. The only trade up I'll make is in the direction of juice injection once they get that sleeked up some.

I prefer the cartos - especially with being a mom of 3 very active kiddos. I just can't be constantly dealing with bottles of liquid and dripping. It's much less hassle to just fill a carto and top it off several times a day. (I vape a lot)

I use both KR808 and 510 cartos - and I have adapters to go both ways - so I can use a KR808 on my ego or a 510 on my KR808 batteries. I think I prefer the 510 cartos, they don't seem to get as hot as the KR808s.

You can also wash them out - there's several methods, I use the boiling in water and then blow out the water and throw them in white rice to dry them out method. I have some from almost 2 months ago that are still usable. Not as nice as a fresh blank, but they work.

I agree with these things, but the COOLCARTS from V4L are WAAAAY better than the 510 carts in my opinion. Other than that we are like peas in a pod.
