Cartomizers burning too quickly?

I am trying to make an effort to post in other forums other than this one, but since this might be a question that other newbies, like myself, might wonder, I am posting it here...

I filled some cartomizers about 4 days ago, and while some of them lasted a good portion of the day as usual, a couple of them seemed to burn through the juice more quickly. So I am wondering if it's a possible issue with the ingredients in the juice and/or how long ago they were filled. Like my coffee and fireball flavors seemed to last the normal length, but redbull flavor today lasted just a couple hours. They were all refilled several days ago. Should I not fill them so far in advance, and just fill for what I plan on throughout just a couple days, or am I doing something wrong perhaps?

Thanks!

I might be way off base here and completely wrong, but here's what I think I have observed.

First, on filling a carto. I like to put the juice in a plastic carto cap and then put the battery end of the carto down into the juice until it begins to come out the other end. Take it out and do it again from the mouthpiece end. Let it sit 15 - 20 minutes and then do it again from the mouthpiece end. Then I roll it between the palms of my hands for a minute, blow out any excess, clean it and put the caps back on the carto.

But ... I only do a few at a time. It seems to me if I fill a lot of them and leave them sit, they become swollen inside and hard to draw from.

The other part of your question about the difference in juices ... I don't know for sure but I wouldn't think that should really make any difference.

I don't know what kind of cartos your using or what your using them on, but I'm sure you know not all cartos are born equal. It could be just the quality of the cartos, but again, that's a just guess.

Hope this info is a little bit of help to you.

Ok, so here is my $.02 worth on this one :D

I've had carto's in the past (mostly 510's) that will not fill up properly. I always remove the mouthpiece as I use a drip tip even on my carto's (like the feel better). I've had a few where when filling, they would only take about 15 drops being brand new and empty...all others I get at least 30+ into. The ones with only around 15 or so would taste burnt after only a few hits. What I've found with those ones is that if you take a needle or paper clip (anything thin) and kind of slightly move the batting away from the side walls of the carto, it will let it drain down better. I rarely have to do this, but it does help sometimes. Once I do that, the juice gets down to the bottom and I'm able to fill it like normal. Others use the "tyran spin" method to use centripetal force to get the juice down there. That's just too much work for me lol!

Not sure if this will help or not, but worth looking into I guess :D
Good luck!

I use a bottom feed box so I just give the bottle a squeeze when I need to. Simple solution for you is to just carry a bottle and top off when needed. I find that VG is thicker than PG and is harder to vape. If you changed the mixture ratio between the flavors, that could determine how long it lasts. Just my two copper Lincolns worth.

Thanks for the responses. I generally just hang out at home, so don't need to carry bottles with me as long as I have a few carto's if I happen to go out. I just don't have the patience to constantly refill/drip with atty's. The ones I am using currently are the Joye 510 carto's that are long, but you can't access the cloth inside, so the only way of refilling is to either use the condom method or use a syringe. I use a syringe now because it much less messier, and also because it seems to hold about twice the juice and last much longer as opposed to the condom method. These were from my very first order so I had no idea what I was getting into. I thought carto's were about the same, but imagine my surprise when they arrived and were nothing like what I've seen in video's. Anyway, I have some Boge 510 soft caps arriving next week that should be much easier to clean and refill, so hopefully they won't cause a bad taste. I was just thinking perhaps juice was evaporating over time and the red bull flavor might have ingredients causing that to happen more than say the coffee or fireball flavors I've also been using.

I am just about out of fireball and coffee flavors until my new shipment arrives, so I will just pay attention to how the red bull flavor burns out compared to the others. It would be a somewhat neat thing to discover if certain flavors (based on their ingredients) tend to evaporate if left in a carto as opposed to others. And I also leave my carto's sealed when they aren't being used, even when they go dry, just to hold in any moisture until I refill them.

thanks for the responses!
