Ok...I think I am close to making a decision here. I'm going to get a bigger PV (probably Kgo) for when I'm home and vaping away, as well as a smaller, more cigarette style device. SO....based on that, I was looking at the 510...and through my research I saw some posts about the 808. It seemed like a lot of people had very positive comments on the 808, and that is a "no fuss" easy to use/maintain piece.

That said...my core question is around cartomizers for the 808 & 510....do they hold the same amount of ejuice? If you saw my prior post, my main concern is around how often I will be filling cartos. Right now, I'm using a smaller (M401 i believe) 3 piece, and I'm filling cartridges like crazy. I'm getting about 7-10 drops per cartridge on that right now.

I definitely want to move to cartomizers...I'm just curious about the ease and frequency of filling on the 808 vs the 510.

Thanks for the help...everyone has been great in helping me with this process!

I haven't used an 808 in quite a while, but I used to get between 20-40 drops into a carto. I know the 510 has many different options for cartomizers, tanks, etc that you can get up to 5ml in one. I've seen a few larger carto options for the 808 in passing, but haven't really looked into them since I went with the 510 threaded units.

One thing you can also consider is that several vendors sell battery adapters that allow you to use 808's on 510 batts, or 510's on 808 batts, etc so you can experiment a bit with other equipment without buying a whole new setup.

I refill my 808 cartos all the time,,, most of the time, I can get upwards of 20 drops in. I have some bigger cartos from Ikenvape and I don't care for them. They seem to leak a lot when filling and I don't feel like I'm getting any more life out of them than I do with my Smokeless Image blanks. I'm looking at the kGo too,, it's 510 threaded and all my stuff is 808 but there are just so many more options with a 510 thread. And I'd keep all my 808's for backups.. I'm happy with my 808's but if I had it to over again,, I'd go with the kGo or any other 510 threaded device. Just my 2cents!

As far as cigarette size/style devices for going out, I prefer the 808. Its just a little bigger than the standard 510 setup, but the batteries seem to last longer (808 - 280mah) in my opinion, and it just feels better in the hand. As far as carts, you could get a regular size .9ml cart or clearomizer(fluxomizer) or the XL of either of those. The XL is obviously going to affect the feel and look because it will be longer than a 100's style cigarette.

I would stick with getting all 510 threaded equipment if you want 2 different kits. I have found very little difference between the KR8 and 510 cartomizers as far as capacity goes.
Madvapes has a Super 510 kit that has 450mah batteries that should last quite a while when out and about - Super 510-T Kit, Chrome

Currently I'm using SI 808 cartos on Volts, but I ordered a couple 1100 mAh batteries with an 808>ego adapter so I can throw the SI cartomizers on the ego batts for long work days where I won't be able to drip. I'll let you know how it works out when I get my adapter. Eventually I'll probably just invest in separate cartos, but I've really enjoyed the life of the Smokeless Image cartos, been refilling 2 for the past week and they're still vaping strong.
