I have been vaping since May 2012. It is mostly good, but at times it is a real Love/Hate relationship here. I have a couple of 510's and a Riva 510. The times I really want a cigarette is in the car, when I'm outside....These are the times they seemed to fail me. New batt, atty, fill cartridge, get in the car...and within about 10 puffs.....no vapor...no flavor.... So, I thought Cartomizer's would be the answer. Viewed several video's and ordered both the reg. cartos and a drip tip carto. Am using the condom fill method. OK....I am finding the carto's very hard to draw from....and am getting very little flavor and vapor in comparison to reg atty's and carts. What am I doing wrong? These things are so frustrating, I have to go outside and have a few puffs off of an analog.:evil:Good grief........how do I remove those things<<<<<

I thought I was getting no flavor from my cartos when I first started as well. Been using them for about a week now and while I can't deciide which I like better I do like them both. Although I find I have to fill mine with a few drops every half hour or so to keep the flavor strong. I use a dropper and fill from the top have both Boge LR and 3 ohm cartos and they both have their own advantages.

After using the IKV 510 cartomizers and being an atomizer only guy..Im telling everyone that has a problem with cartomizers to go to Customer Login and buy some 801 fusions...you will have to get the $3 adapter as well if you are using a 510 thread but TRUST me, its sooo worth it...i get better tasting and more consistent vapes than when i was dripping. It just cant be beat...AND they have them in LR now and they just updated their site with stock, so go enjoy :) You can thank me when you get them :)

do you blow out these when they flood like you would a reg cart?.....Yes, I can definately hear the batt when the juice hits.....I feel like I'm sucking my brains out for very little flavor and vapor...
When i used to flood those, yes i would blow them out...you might just be using a bum one..i dont ever remember hving to do that with any IKV cartos brand new...now after a while they do get hard to draw on, so ya just throw it away and start with a new one :)

@ swedishfish....lol....I insert the threaded end into the filled condom....

if you ever try fusions, this method doesnt work...gotta drip from the top, but its sooo worth it

I'm just asking because I did it with the other end and couldn't understand what all the fuss was about with the condom method.

I hate to admit this but it was only a few weeks ago.

Edit: In my defense, i watched a video and that's how they did it.

Honest!

What type of cartos are you using??????? I would be sure that you are using LR / Low resistance cartos on a Riva.....
The standard are not going to produce enough flavor and vapor..... I would get LR Boge cartos...both LR and dual coil..
Work great on a Riva:)

Yes....the Premium Platinum

Then I'm somewhat surprised. I love those cartos and never had a problem with them. But I like them on 3.7v--no less than that. They are too weak for 510 batteries (3.1v). The other 510s (the brass threaded V2s), however, are deadly--they have a horizontal coil and the draw is impossibly hard on them, that's why I thought that maybe you got those by mistake.

Is your Riva the new, true 3.7v? Or is it the older, regulated kind (3.2v, like the eGos)? If it's the older model, you may need the lower resistance cartomizers, I recommend Boge 2.0Ω--widely available. You can find them at LiteCig, Liberty Flight, Vapors Etc and so on.

I'll check those out. Thanks all. Daniels, I will check the 801's......I just have to laugh when people say they have "saved" x amount of money since vaping! A little more, and I could have bought a car. geeezzzzz

yea it does get crazy lol...its like a whole different addiction...you do save loads of money once you find your perfect setup...it took me a long time and loads of money, but i have found the darwin with ikv fusions and some tasty vapor or backwoods brew is my ticket...make sure you try those LR fusions out!! trust me on this!
