I have been feeling crabby and out of sorts today. Started vaping as usual but then analog withdraw was definelty worse then it was the day before. Yesterday I smoked 1 1/2 cigs. Today I've already smoked 4?

Wondering if the cartomizer I'm using could be off on nic content or something? It's a different one then yesterday 18 mg but is pg rather then vg.

Any ideas?

I find the same thing. I will get a carto going real good only to have it disappoint later. That's when I start feeling frustrated and reaching for the annys. Get some higher nic ones for the cravings. The cartos seem to vary some in intensity and vapor. PG should give more throat hit, VG more vapor. When vapor gets low I pop off the top and drop a few drops of e-liquid in and that usually gets it going again. Seems I also have to get the carto pretty hot with a few primer puffs before it really starts vaping.

Maybe 18mg just isn't a high enough nicotine level for you, at least in the early stages? I had to start at 36mg, and I smoked Parliament Lights 1-2 packs a day.

When I vape 18mg, it's like vaping flavored air - and it's just not enough to keep me off cigarettes. Now, I'm ok with 24mg... but not first thing in the morning. Mornings with coffee demand 36mg for me; can't wake up otherwise.

This morning was really difficult for me but i got my way thru it. I would suggest that since your at 18mg carts that you keep a few 24mg and 36mg carts available for when the nicotine craving hits you really hard. This way you will be able to curb that "i have to have a cigarette right now, climbing up the wall feeling." I know that feeling all to well as this morning i was at that point. I was ready to get in the truck and go buy some cigarettes but my daughter saved me by being in bed and sleeping.Im already at 36mg carts so i couldnt do what im suggesting for you.

But in your case with higher nicotine carts standing at the ready you should be able to weather those storms and get thru the bumps.

good luck to you.

P.S. i was a 3 to 4 pack a day smoker and if i can do it then i know everyone can !!

Here and back
This isn't for everyone but it has worked for me. I just refuse to smoke a cig since the arrival of the e cig. I know me, I'll go right back so I will NOT smoke one. When I get that bad "Gotta Have It" I really start pulling on the e cig, sometimes untill it gives me a headache (too much nic) which then makes me put the e cig down and I don't want to smoke anything for some time. It's been 4 weeks for me and I can't see going back.

I yes, some carts are better than others, don't know why but I have a few favorites that really do the trick, I'll miss them when they're gone.

When I got my e-cig, I still had analogs left. I put them in the garage, and that's where I had to go to smoke them. Standing up in the cold. And I made myself finish the pack.

In the meantime, I enjoyed my Vapor King inside, curled up on the sofa with a hot cup of coffee and a dog snuggled up with me.

Maybe there's some little psychological trick you can play on yourself to make the analogs NOT fun or enjoyable in the least, and make the e-cig a very very pleasant and relaxing experience. Nicotine activates the pleasure center in the brain, so do your best to counter the effect when you have a smoke, and maximize it when you vape.

Iris, you just gave me an idea! I know the perfect psychological trick to counteract the effect of smoking analogs: Go dump some cancer sticks in an ashtray, wet them with a bit of water, and SMELL THAT for a while. This should take away some of the pleasure at the center of the brain that makes "smoking" fun. LOL! Now...VAPE YOURSELF SILLY!

somewhere out there......
Yea I remember those days.... but if you go long enough without smoking those kinds of craving will really subside. But every once in a while I get an erg to smoke. I take out my 18mg and puff for a while. It will go away. The problem lies in the brain and it likes to trick you every once in a while. But the chemical erges will go away, you just have to fight it for a little while until it does. Oh and if it does come around stay away from starch foods for a few hours and drink at least 3 16oz glasses of water in that time. It helps out a lot.

keyzygirl have you used VG long term or just PG? Just wondering on your preference? CONGRATS on 6months that is GREAT!! I hope to stay clean from here on out but only been 4-5 days. I did get a bad craving when someone smoked a real stick in my house last night. The smell lingered for a while but managed to hit the e-inhaler pretty good and all was fine!

Thanks so much! I haven't smoked another one! There is so much other junk in analogs than just nicotine, I wonder if maybe my body was reacting to not having something it got from a cig. I won't beat myself up to bad! I got my pv thurs. and have only smoked about 10 analogs since. I used to smoke just under a pack a day.
