Has anyone looked inside the new slb cartomizers? I read somewhere else they are made differently from the boge - there are 2 small rings inside when you open it up and a coil instead of the wire sticking up.

Hi Zelda,
Yes there is a significant difference between the 2. Its a Joye vs Sailebao scenario. Now this opinion isn't being made because I have Slb cartomizers, but I feel the Joye version to be too airy for me, but it does produce more vapor than the Slb, the actual feel (throat kick)
The Joye gave me a hard time to remove the cap due to adhesives and did not have a splash gaurd, it seems to be made from standard cartridge filler whereas the joy is more of a thinner type but more condensed. They both weighed in at .18 oz
The Slb got the most vape time obviously! I haven't had a chance to calculate a refill value however. I hope these photos reveal the answer that you seek!

ps. I'm a Zelda fanatic :toast:

Yes they are different, one has the wire up through the center and Isaac's had a coil like an atty. I find that Isaac's do not burn as easily as the boge ones do. And the tops on his are not glued in so they pop right off, making filling and refilling much easier. Great vapor and flavor too. I absolutely love them! I have them on all my LPVs.

Ok just call me a fan girl

On these the filler actually is wrapped around and under the white plastic bottom piece and is caught under there. Hubby says the liquid wicks/settles down under the bottom of that white plastic disk and then when you draw it gets pulled up through the center tube and spurts over the hot atty, thus making vapor. As for the height the guess is to keep it from flooding. Are we close?

Not having a top "naked" pic WW it is hard to see what you are stating. But yes the explanations (yours and 5 car) is indeed what is going on. With the tightness of some cartos after a while you would be sucking juice (bottom fitted atty). This alleviates the possibility (read alleviate not eliminate, I am being cautious) sucking up juice as everything that will hit the atty will be vaporized.

Whilst with a bottom fitted atty, you are placing a "vacuum" on the juice from the batting as the top as well, resulting in a mouth full. Not only that, in normal cartomisers there is nowhere for condensation to go, but either be vaporized or through the hole. Any condensation that may build up here would seem to be vaporized rather quickly.

Umm Switched I don't think the ECF allows naked pics

Ok serious now... The tube that is in the bottom picture between the wires is actually plastic and part of the bottom part. It is a hollow tube and come up right under the coil. With the filler being wrapped down under the white part, juice should wick down under there then be brought up through the tube right over the coil. At least that how it looks to me.

And thank you for your more detailed explination!! It's always nice to figure out how things work.

Happy Vaping! :vapor:

I took one of the 510 cartos apart for another thread but thought I'd post the pics here where they belong.

WW,

I'm guessing by the look of these pictures you didn't actually use this carto before tearing apart. Am I correct or does it look like this after being filled with juice? Thanks.

You are welcome my dear :toast:

This is the type of stuff I thirst for. This is the type of stuff I am looking for. I don't want to hear this is better than that etc... from vendors or whoever, show me the money.

With all the 510 cartos out there, how is one suppose to choose when everything in vaping is so subjective. Take TH for example. The only time I want a TH is when I am fighting a demon. Other than that the liquid I make @ 24mg can gag a horse, because of the vapour. Here's an interesting one:

Recipe - Buttery nipple - E-Cigarette Forum

If the nic is to high reduce it with PG, as the remaining ingredients are important for hemoginy. This liquid is great in carts, dripped and will go marvelously well in cartos. I can't wait to get mine. This is best vaped after 2-3 days of sitting where it really has time to mature. After a week, it is well into it's own. Num, num.

You are correct, that was a brand new unused carto. I wanted good pics to show the design. I'm going to take the one I'm using now apart when I get done with it in a few days and take more pics to show the before and after.

I should not say "I" took it apart because it was hubby that took the time to very carefully cut the tube off so I could get the good pics :) All I did was unroll the filler and lay out the parts.
