im not sure if it's me, my juices or the cartos but I'm having issues.

first off I'm using a riva se from liberty flights about a week and a half now. I have green apple juice from them and a slew of other samples from various vendors although mostly I use the apple and mimosa from gourmet vapor. one is 18mg one is 8mg and they are both 80/20 I believe.

I'm using boge 2.0 cartos. I know I'm filling them til they are saturated. I condom fill then spin in a baggy. I seem to get 3 half cap fills in this way and it would still accept a little more so I'll drip around the top as well. this seemed like an enormous amout for a standard carto to hold ? but it never floods and woks fine aside from the issues I'm having.

the problem is just that sometimes there is suh an intense "hitch", burn, scratch in my throat after an inhale that my eyes water an I have to focus on actually breathing. it really hurts. the hit right before it could be perfectly smooth as the one right after could be. or it will keep happening a few hits. this can happen if I've just topped it off and know its well saturated. I just don't understand. I don't see how it could be burning when I have it so wet ?? is that even what it is ?

really turning me off cartos even though they taste much better :(

this has been happening with 3 cartos. I have 2 more unopened that I didn't want to open yet.

Sounds to me like you're getting the dreaded 'dry' hit at times. As the juice vaporizes, it has a cooling effect on the coil. If the coil gets a little starved, it heats more and you get the 'dry' hit. Try slowing your draw down and get off the button before you finish your draw, as the hot coil will still produce some vapor. Then allow a few seconds of wicking time before your next draw. If that doesn't help, there's a possibility the inner blanket on your carto isn't wrapped as tight as it should be and it's not wicking fast enough to keep the coil moist.

I like picking up my pv, taking three or four puffs quickly, one after the other, setting it down for awhile, then repeat. This gives me lots of problems, especially if I'm vaping my favorite 60/40 juice. The added vapor from the vg makes it necessary for the juice to wick much faster, and it's easy for me to over do it and get the dry hit. I'm using a 2.5 ohm topcoil at the moment and it has a nice thick wick, but unless I turn it upside down and back up again between vapes, I can get a dry hit and it actually hurts the back of my throat. Hope this helps and good luck and happy vaping.

thank you for the replies !

I'm sure it's not an allergy because I can cape the same juice no problem dropping or in carts. it just taste better on the boges. also they will do it with my 8mg juice too. so i don't think it's a nic thing. I guess it must be dry hits, I just didn't think that could happen keeping it as saturated as I have. it works perfectly fine then outta no where the burn happens and I'm not prepared for it, really is horrible.

also there is no change in taste when thi happens that I can detect.

I had it sitting down for over an hour and just took a vape - slow, let off te button early - and it was really harsh again. I KNOW the thugs are saturated through, I couldn't possibly get them any wetter. could it just be a bad boxful, then? :( what a waste. I ordered some CCV resurrected earlier today that probably won't be here for a while. sigh.

the following vape was smooth followed by two slightly more harsh vapes..followed by a smooth one... followed by one that seemed smooth but provided no vapor on exhale.. I really am thinking its something funky with this batch I got.

my juice is also cleanish yellow, and pretty thin? would that cause it in a boge but not a cart or dripping ?

I should mention these are new and on their first full fills with topping off. less than 2 days of use.

After filling are you blowing the excess out the batt end into a paper towel? Could it be that you are inhaling liquid into your throat. Although I'm using Dual Coils I've found the best way to fill cartos is to use a blunt end needle and squirt a few drops into the batt end and then immediately roll the carto on a flat surface. I do this a couple of times and then drip into the top of the carto. I finish by blowing into paper towel.

Just got my order of clearomizers in yesterday, the issue I'm having is that there always is a small bit of juice right above the fill seal. I'll clean it after the fill too. Is this normal? Not fond of inhaling straight juice and trying to figure out how to solve this.

Deleted. I thought you have problems with Cartos.

Yeah, I'm blowing out. Usually it's dry anyway. I'm sure I'm not getting any liquid - I know what that feels (and taste!) like.
I think it's just bad cartos... i don't know how, but there just seems to be a lot of dry spots in it. I can only assume it's not soaking up the liquid as it should, even spinning it. Been dripping today, same juices, and haven't had the issues at all until the atty was a bit too dry..
