never tried it that way becuase it would seem like the juice would just drip down the center tube and threw the battery hole. would waste allot of juice. can use drip tips on some cartos though just so its easier to access the filler inside instead of dealing with the white tip everytime. doesn't work on all cartos though i seem to have problems getting them to fit right on most of my kr8's but on my dual coils they work great

Agreed. They work great on the boge 510 cartomizers. I pull the drip tip off though, and drip down the side. Much easier than fiddling with the white cap which likes to go flying across the room and roll up under something where you can't even get to it.
That's just the way I do it. I do moisten the "O" ring on the drip tip before I snap it back into the Boge carto.

I use a plastic or delrin drip tip on Boge cartos and V4L cartos but I do not drip liquid through it because it would aim right for the central air channel those carto brands have (and if you have auto batteries or even manuals that have a hole in the end of the battery that would be a worse problem). It is so easy to pull out the drip tip and add some liquid.
