Drip tips and cartos

Okay, I'm filling a blank carto. I take off the hard plastic cap on the end. I fill the carto with juice. If I'm using a drip tip, do I even need to put the cap back on? I know it helps keep it from drying out if I'm not immediately using it, but couldn't I use a condom for the same thing?

The white mouthpiece is just there to act as a shield from liquid and if you are using a drip tip I don't even think you could get one on with the cap. Using the condoms while not in use will work great to keep everything in the carto and to prevent it from drying out.

I toss the plastic cap because I use a drip tip, but I keep the condoms so that in the event I want to switch cartos (flavors), I can store them with the condoms on and the juice stays in.

Hi,

I don't use them. I think it restricts the air flow to much. Also makes it hard to get the drip tip in. I save them for after I have used the carto for a week. I then re-cap them and put them in a zip lock. I boil my cartos for reuse, so this keeps them from totally drying up before I clean. Since I have a rotation of cartos, I don't boil until I have a few of them to do.

you can use the condom for the "condom fill method" (youtube it) which is a nice quick way to get the cart to saturation.

That's what I do. However, I get the best results when I also top-off the cart, which means I take the cap off.
