I'm using the silver bullet 6V e cig. I use the SR punched boge cartos from Vaporescence. They keep burning dry no matter how many drops I keep putting in them. It's like they aren't wicking up the e juice. Does anyone have any suggestions or help for me? I am getting frustrated. Have tried several cartos. They are all the same. I really love this thing when it's working. Just isn't working lately.

Well IMHO 6V vaping is totally a FAIL on a carto basically. 6V vaping is for a HR Atty dripping. And is going to use a lot of juice a couple drops for a few toots. For carto use, return to a 18650 Battery in the SB and use a LR dual coil carto or lr boge carto if you prefer, you get the same vape as if vaping at 5V with this setup...why 6V on a carto?..and on a SB...Why?

This is the set up my brother gave me for Christmas. I don't know any better but found this forum to help educate me! You guys are a great wealth of info and I deeply appreciate replies. My brother didn't even know what model he has/gave me and could tell me nothing about it. I found the info for the model on the forum. I really like vaping though and have quit smoking two weeks now. Will go to lower voltage battery and re-try the remainder of my single coil cartos with that. Thanks so mucg for the reply.

Consider the wattage, which is the true measure of heat at the coil.

Your standard-resistance Boge cartos are roughly 3 ohms.

The relevant formula is V2 / Ohms = Watts

So, your 6V SB with a 3 ohm carto is supplying 12 watts to the coil -- quite hot. You're simply burning up juice faster than the filler material can wick fresh juice to the coil.

I find that a tank system with your carto will help them from getting burnt out because they always stay moist! Also, try vaping at lower voltage as I find that vapor tast much beter at mid voltage levels! Of course taste is subjective, but it makes sense that vaping at higher voltage causes cartos to heat up more allowing for a burnt taste to possibly surface!
