Carto Mystery? Or Something Else? Expert Help Please.

If you heat a dry coil it degrades....usually increasing the ohms. But, it may even melt a section of coil together....decreasing the ohms. The coil wires get almost, but not quite, liquid and move around.

Back to the dry coil issue. Did you try what I said about the juice? Did it work...albeit for a temporary fix?

Yes, I added two drops of water. I just dont get it. I drenched that thing until juice was pouring out of every hole it had

Marshall (hubby) went to another town after work to pick up syringes. They gave him 20 gauge, but sharp. USPS says the Kangers are in Austin. One more day. I am on my vivi nova. I used to love these, and its a great vape, but i will admit the juice isnt as good as when its in a tank. Maybe I am imagining it.

We are going to syringe fill, then do the Taryn Two Step till full. We will see how it goes.

I have two thoughts:
1. I am grateful that we had three great weeks until this happened. Had this happened at first, we would have given up carto/tanking right away figuring we were too stupid to do it.

2. I guess its better that we have all this happen now. You live, you learn. Also; I may not remember everything I learned in college and grad school... but I still remember the question and correct answer to every item I ever got wrong on a test

Sorry I forgot to put it in my post but I'm glad you found it. There are all kinds of things you can use for this spin. I use an aluminum pill bottle with a key ring on it and tied a string to it. I use if for standard size cartos. For XL I have a suede ego lanyard with a chip clip in the middle of it so the carto doesn't slide all the way to the bottom which makes it hard to get out. This is a very old technique but I still use it because I'm lazy when it come to filling cartos. I want to fill them fast and be able to use them right away. None of this waiting around for hours for the juice to soak in. I'm too impatient for that.

This type of "carto thing" is one of the reasons I just dripped for 2 years before the Vivi Nova. Hate filler. Hate.

Good luck. Sorry thinning it didn't work. Maybe a little more PG would help. But....IDK. Sounds like it was wet to start with then clogged for some reason. It does help to pause between vapes to let it wick.

I am using my J-tank, Hubby is using his Little Mama.

I am at 3.8 volts. 4 was good but then i got a burned taste so went back down to 3.8. Thats where hubby landed as well. We are hoping these will last more than a few hours or a day. Sure would be easier to believe its our error than all of those bad cartos, though, I was just reading a thread about carto ohms dropping.

No, they arent in yet. All we have are the Boges. The regular Kangers will be here tomorrow. The xl's will be here a day or two later.

I wanted to use the Boges from the suspicious box anyway with the new way of filling so I know if its us or the cartos. I refused to even change juice so that i can keep as many variables as constant as possible. I did have one "off" tasting hit so i checked my atty and it was at 1.7, but it jumped back to 2.1, then 2.2. I am sitting at 3.8v and not changing anything. So far, so good.

Not that I can see. Hubby sat and watched while I vaped and said he saw one eventually come out. I didnt see any watching him vape, though mine has been going awhile and his is freshly filled as he didnt like the juice in the other one he filled when I did mine (if that matters). I havent ever seen bubbles, but then i wasnt watching for them when he vapes, and I cant see my tank when I vape.

The only thing i have noticed this time around different is that the flavor is not as pronounced. Zeus Juice is a very sweet juice, flavorful. Sometimes almost too flavorful, lol. Maybe it has to do with it being the last of the bottle? I dont know. I had to lower my voltage down to 3.6 as it was tasting a dry. I just checked and it looks a little dry so I added 10 drops to get it saturated again

No. I am not sure what you mean. Can you explain?
Unless I tear down the tank to clean it, I do not take the caps off when i fill it at all. When I clean the tanks, I put the tank back together, but I still dont have the caps off when I fill it. Pretty sure hubby does it like I do as well.

When I need to empty the tank to change a bad/old carto, I use one of my tools (SYMama etc), to lower the carto. Then i pour the juice into the bottle. Once it is empty I finish removing the carto. Get the new one ready and waiting, then i use my tool to reinsert it. Before it is all the way inserted, I fill the tank with juice, then push the carto the rest of the way through. The caps are always on unless I am washing it.

Am I doing it wrong?

Don't worry too much about it changing .2 ohms from new->used. If it keeps changing...hmmmm.

At this point I would have to think they are bad cartos. Everything's been tried and the same thing keeps happening.

I was hoping you had an atomizer, rather than a cartomizer. Then you could just drip and solve the problems entirely.

There is a "cheat" with boge cartos....better then throwing them out anyway.

Assuming it's a bottom coil boge....just take the top stuff off (cut off the top 1/4 inch). Drip 3 drops, vape 10 hits, drip 3, vape 10. Try it without filler and with some filler loosely packed in the bottom on the coil. Avoid closely packing it onto the coil so you don't get burnt filler. If you set it down it will leak. Basically dripping into a bottom coil carto. It's been done before...not I haven't been vaping any funny stuff. It's true! This doesn't work if it isn't a bottom coil boge (if it has the coils in-line on wires...it won't work.) If it "has an atty" at the bottom, it works.

Anyway...may be worth it rather than throwing them out.
