I've recently ordered a good variety of different toys for my ecig and can't decide which I wanna stick with. I ordered some cartos, but didn't care from them. I got some clearomizers that I like, but they seem like after a couple fills they "burn" the juice. Most tanks I don't like because the juice flavor seems dull.

Am I doing something wrong? So far I think the best I've used is a Kanger tank style, but I seem to have the problem with fryed juice on that one after a couple refills too. So my question is what everyone else is using. If you could give me some ideas I'd love it.

Some points of interest

-how many fills do you use before you clean/throw out
-how is flavor
-resistance levels or do you think it matters
-anything else useful...maybe like where you get them

Welcome to ECF, but your answer is hard to get to . As I use all of those devices , at different times , on different devices . I have been using Boge 2.0 ohm carto's lately , as well as some Vivi-Novas , and some Kanger T-3's , And I like all of them . As far as cleaning and what not . It depends on how much you use them . If you chain vape , you will be cleaning or tossing out alot more . But alot of these devices are re-buildable . On the Vivi's , I use them until the flavor starts diminishing , and usually the resistance of the device , starts getting higher ( gunked up ) I re-wick them . Pretty cheap and easy to do . You can also just buy replacement heads for them , but much , much cheaper to do it yourself . Hope that helps . Good luck

I started with clearos, and like Beccca, grew to hate them pretty quickly. I moved on to Vivi Nova Minis, and while those are good and super easy to refill, I've started using carto tanks (these Smoktech ones from Kalamazoo Vapor) and LOVE them. They can be a pain to learn how to fill initially, but once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad. It's worth whatever hassle there is, though, because the flavor is soooo much better, and the vapor production is significantly better than the clearos, too.

I also have been using atomizers and have really grown to love dripping. Since I'm a new vaper, I've ordered a bunch of different juice, and love being able to switch flavors quickly and and test things out.

For the sake of saying the same thing this was my experience exactly. Still use my novas & just got into carto tanks. Ill be sticking to those! Wayyyy less fiddling once you get the priming part down.

Hi Tuekee and welcome to the forum. I also use them all, or have used them in the past. They all work, the trick is to learn how to use correctly.

Cartomizers are good for 5-10 ml, more if used in a tank, then I throw them out.

Clearomizers can be refilled many times; I really like bottom changeable-coil atties and clearos, like eGo-C atties (with plastic tanks), kanger T3, evod etc. Some clearos with top CC are fine also. I love them because when the coil gets dirty, you can just take it out and pop a new one for a brand new clearomizer. old coils can be easily cleaned.

If you have specific questions about a problem or a piece of hardware, I highly recommend doing a google search or using an advanced search feature on this forum. You'll find dozens of threads and plenty of in-depth information from actual users.

Resistance matters alot! The higher the wattage, the hotter the vape. Some flavors do well with more heat (coffees, tobaccos) while delicate flavors like fruit like it cooler.

been using vivi nova mini clearmoizer
how many fills do you use before you clean/throw out ANSWER: the atomizer seems to last me a good 3 weeks each
-how is flavor ANSWER: at first i really digged it, but then again it was my first n only tank or anything i tried, after trying my friends carto tank system i would say the clearomizer has less in taste
-resistance levels or do you think it matters: i prefer 2ohm res. i cant seem to tell too much of a difference though
-anything else useful...maybe like where you get them: i shop around for the cheapest deals or wherever i can find a coupon, i haven't used the same vendor twice

this may be a dumb question, but can you rewick anything? Or are there only certain ones that can be rewicked

There is no such thing as dumb questions here! The whole premise of this forum is to share information about vaping :) If you don't ask questions, regardless of how dumb you may think it is, how can we share that information?

Easy answer to your NOT dumb question is no, not everything can be re-wicked.

Typically, cartomizers and atomizers can be refilled but once the coil pops you just throw it away and put on a new one.

Rebuildable Atomizers are able to have the wicks and coils replaced relatively easy.

There are many clearomizers out now that have removable atomizer heads which can be easilly replaced, and with a little leg work these head assemblies can have the wicks and coils replaced as well.

And some clearomizers, with a steady hand, can be disassembled and have the wick and coil replaced. Like the CE style "Stardust" clearomizers. It's more difficult, and in my opinion not worth the trouble. The cost of a clearomizer with a removable atomizer head is only a dollar or so more than a disposable clearomizer. So, for me, I don't waste my money on the disposables anymore.

Hope that helps!

I've been using the Tabac BCC -- a Kanger T3 clone -- and it's worked pretty well, but unfortunately it mutes the flavor compared to cartomizers. I'm thinking of switching to rebuildable atomizers, though those seem to take quite a bit of experience and work.

Tanks are super easy, but they don't taste quite as good. It's taken me a few months to realize there's a good reason people don't just use tanks rather than cartos or atomizers.
