Carto's randomly won't work with one battery or the other.

Hey guys. I have a revolver talon tank system (joy ego I think). I have one 650mah pass through-battery, and 1 1000mah battery. (also two battery that crapped out already, grrr.) I am using lr cartos from crystal clear vaping (the site is now closed certain times, so i couldn't get exact model). Occasionally, a carto will work with one battery just fine, but won't work at all with the other, whether its connected to usb or not. Anyone else had an issue similar to this?

Also, revolver offers a 1-year replacement of a $20 battery for $5. Seems kind of ridiculous to me to have to pay 25% of the purchase price for a 1 year warranty. Would someone pay $625 extra on a $2500 TV for 1 year warranty? I know I wouldn't. I would think it should last a year at least. So, does anyone know a good place to buy batteries? I would like something similar to the mega batteries that revolver has, but maybe a bit more reliable.

Thanks.

On connections - in general, I've found that there is no problem with eGo batts on eGo attys. But I've had cases where using a Riva batt with an eGo atty doesn't connect. Many times it is just off enough to where 'picking' the center post in the atty - it sits in silicone and is moveable - and raising it slightly will be enough. Sometimes the gap is too large and an old standard fix for that is the 'staple mod' or some variation of it.

Staple mod:

Of course the same can be true with various cartos and the same mod can be used.

Some batteries have a slot in the battery's center post (some cartos too) where you can take a flat end screwdriver and adjust the height of the centerpost - I'd like to see more manufacturers doing that. What happens is that when you crank down on an atty or carto with one battery, the center post in the atty/carto gets sunk to where it might not connect with another battery.

As far as the 'warranty' thing - no, I wouldn't pay that....

I have this happen quite often with Boge cartos and Riva/KGO/Echo batts. Kent is right: seems the batt center post pushes the carto center post up so it makes connection at the moment, but not when the carto is removed and reattached. I use a pin to pry the carto center post down so it is more exposed, by sticking the pin into one of the air holes just above the threads and prying downward. This generally fixes the problem, but you have to be careful to not screw that carto one too tightly, or you will have to do this again. I found this problem can also make the batt LED blink like it is cutting off. Not had this problem with eGo batts I have, but heard of it with these too.

Good luck!
