Some of his cartos are too airy for people and not for others. After you use them for awhile they tighten up. I have a condum I cut the bottom out of for the 510 drip tip. I slide it down on the air vent until the draw is where I like it until it tightens up. Never had that problem with the golds. Also try raising the voltage a little.

I'll give it some time, see what happens. I can't up the voltage as I am using eGos. Are ikens designed for high voltage or something, or is that just generally nicer. Sorry for all the noob-ness, people. You are the best!

I don't know, I never used them on anything but Variable Voltage.
I still use an ego in rotation with my VV's. Iken's 510 gold's and 510 V2 golds work great on the ego too. I don't find them airy at all.
Well 5CS....You and Fran have sold me on IKV's. I got two 801 Fusions from the classified and that was all it took. Got them yesterday afternoon...and it's been IKV801 ever since.
I MUST get some of these to my Buds in Kandahar. Getting a handful of 510-801 adapters and going to see what I can round up on IKV 801's. I just now saw that I missed a chance to get 15 of them yesterday on the classified. Makes me ill that I missed them too. Come hell or high water I'll do my best to grab what I can. I also got 3 IKV LR901's but haven't tried them yet. Also in the deal were 8 more IKV Gold V2's with tips. There is an excellent chance I may never use anything other than IKV from this time forward. Just never realized that "quality" existed when it came to cartomizers. I do now tho.

When I saw the classified the other day, they had already shown as sold, but I sent a pm and asked them if the thread was dead. He came back and said the buyer ended up not having the money needed and this guy had already closed his thread thinking they were sold. Well - they were, cuz I ended up getting his sale, since it had fallen thru. Now I have a WTB listing to see if I can luck out again. My buddies in the sand just have to find out what I found out.

Any time Roscoe. I love them Fusions the best. I have about 10 of them I'm thinking of recycling for a pinch if I ever need any. The great thing about his cartos is the filler doesn't seem to burn. I've seen pics where members said they used too much voltage and burnt them so they tore them apart and couldn't find a burnt spot. That and the fact they last so dang long they are actually cheaper in the long run. They are all I use. Like the sig. says, With my Buzz, the best PV made and an Ikenvape carto I'm in vapers heaven. Kudos to the soldiers in the sand. I have a great deal of respect for them guys and gals.
PS: The 510 drip tip with or without tips perform as well but I have less problems with 801s than I do 510s. The new 510 drip tipless or with tips are great too. So were the old ones but now the heating coil is fatter.

Hmmm... still working on this iken gold standard and getting burnt taste, although I can see the filler is wet. Maybe it is a bad one, will try another soon and see. When I run a paperclip up through the battery hole, it hits something (I don't hit anything in my boges)... so is that a disc of some sort? Maybe does that mean my condom fill from the bottom caused this oddness?
Brody it's probably hitting the atty inside. All I use are boges and I have an occasional one that has a lopsided atty and wire in it. I think taste is not only subjective in juices but cartos as well. What one person loves may not be right for another.
Your condom fill should work fine with those Golds, just remember to let them soak for 20 mins or so on the first fill. Iken's cartos have a tighter wound filler than most so it takes a little patience to let them soak thru and thru

Cartos with pale wire rather than black wire...
I recently got some 510 cartos that have gold threads and white ish wire where my boges have black. they make all my juice taste like plastic. Then I tried an ikenvape gold drip tip.. same pale wire same plastic taste.
Ikenvape platinum had black wire tastes awesome, boges have black wire taste awesome.
Using tasty vapor juice... Is this coincidence or what is up with the pale wire?

I can't understand it Brody I vape nothing but Ikenvape cartos and have never had these problems. You need to go on Ikenvapes forum and read the threads and see why your having so many problems. You told me you loved the drip tip cartos.
I can't understand it either. I do love the platinum, didn't realize until after opening that the dt was different... Not your fault 5cs... It might all come down to tv sweetened juices. I ordered some other juice so I can try all types of cartos with non tv juice. It's just part of learning to vape, right?

Ya, I went through it. If I'd of known I'd of sent you the platinums they're half the cost of drip tips. How much juice are you putting in them? My favorites in this order are #1 801/510 Fusions, #2 Drip Tip 510s, #3 the Megas (808), #4 Mega 510 etc.

5card, don't know what will happen but I have no problem sending the dt back to you with postage. you have been too kind and really gone out of your way for a guy who honestly just doesn't know what he's doing. Anything you sent me you can use, I'll happily return no harm no foul. As I said before, it isn't a $ thing I just feel DUMB not knowing certain things and then potentially wasting product someone else likes. My hope is that it is the TV juice and other juice won't be bothered by the "pale wire." No matter what, this is a great community and through time, trial and error I will figure all this stuff out.

I don't think you have to worry about 5CS, Brody. He's a pretty stand-up guy, and don't get too bummed or frustrated. This will all come together for you, and when it does, you can just sit back and help others coming down the pipe.
Rosco - thanks a ton. I did have great news the other day as a friend of mine used an eGo PT I gave him with some Liquid Xpress pre-filleds/bottle of juice combo to get off Marlboro Reds in 2 days! What a great feeling that was. I hope I get to help more as time goes on!

Sense I switched to the RY4 we sell ( not trying to push it !! ) I have had E2r4's last me over a WEEK , I used to use TV tobacco and I would get 12-18 hours and they would loose vapor bad ! . Now I just refill .
I used ego exclusively before I got my infinity. My infinity is back to Mike so he can test it out... so I am using my ego's again for now. I use the LR cartos for the ego (1.5 to 2.0 ohms). It makes a huge difference in performance vs the high voltage mods. Using a 2.8 ohm carto or higher on a mod like the infinity is perfect....but a 2.8 or higher on my ego does NOT perform as well as the lower LR ohms.
