Has anyone made an e cig with the cartridge in front of the atomizer? With the present set up with the atomizer in front of the cartridge , it seems that the vapor has to flow upstream against the flow to reach the atomizer which is counter productive.

The vapor is created in the area of the junction between the cartridge and the atomizer bridge and is drawn through air channels along side the cartridge. There is no 'upstream against the flow' going on. The liquid in the cartridge flows down toward the atomizer but the vapor doesn't go against that, it's on a different channel.
