These products are not safe. After following the instructions in the user manual and going through a cartridge, I was curious to see how this thing actually works and took apart my spent cartridge.
The high tech atomizer that is advertised acutally consists of a thin wire that runs alomgside a wick made of plastic fibers. These are wrapped by a thin layer of a cloth-like material & synthetic mesh.
The outer materials are soaked in liquid, the wick draws in the liquid, and is heated by the wire.
Though I had changed the cartridge, as instructed, once I noticed a difference in taste, I was shocked to see that most of the materials inside, especially the plastic wick was burned to a charred black crisp.
I took apart a brand new cartridge to compare, and I then fitted the battery unit with a new cartridge I took a few small puffs, being careful not to overheat the device. When I took this one apart, I could see it was already starting to burn.
You are essentially burning and inhaling plastic when using this product.

K....... The idea is to keep it wet..... do not let it dry out. = no burning... the wick isn't plastic. Not sure where you got that.
I'll stick with vaping. Safer than analogs:)

Not plastic. The wicks are a material that is not supposed to burn. I have seen videos where people dry-burned empty CE2 cartos until they glowed red (these are stuffing-less cartos) and that turned the residue to ash and left the wires clean and left the formerly dark brown burnt-looking wicks clean and white again.

However the juice, especially if it has flavoring residue, will leave almost-charred residue on everything. And if you let a carto get even partially dry you can singe the stuffing.

I am a very (was a very) heavy smoker for 30+ years. Tried EVERYTHING. Managed to be smoke-fre for two years at one point, but was never off the nicotine gum. Lost my mom and picked up smokes again, three years ago. Chantix did not make me suicidal, but HOMICIDAL! the gum was ok, but now I had quit and gone back too many times, too easy to go back!! I have been batteling for years, NEVER GIVING UP, although those around me were losing faith, back and forth I was, but never giving up. Began getting pains in my right lung. Still dont know what it was. Was hoping it was something like pleurasy. bought an ecig only because I was going on vacation, plane, layovers, etc. WAS SO THRILLED, I never looked back. still have some "smokes" around here somewhere, dont care!!! THANK YOU LORD for helping me to find a way to stay alive!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for posting this. This information could save thousands of lives!

All this time I thought vaping was a healthier alternative, thanks for shedding some light on this topic!

I'm going to go buy a carton of cigarettes now, those are safer, right?

Go easy on the newbie. Sure, he's posting in ignorance but that is what newbies do. We need a sticky telling newbies to keep off the "world is ending" posts till they poke around ECF for a week or 2. I can't tell you how many of my early perceptions were altered with the truth once I spent a week around here reading.

Now, I am not saying this kind of newbie post shouldn't be rectified immediately and firmly. However, we should try and be a little kinder to newbies. They literally don't know better yet.
