I'd like to air a grievance here against CASAA.. all of us are concerned with advocacy, a united
front and support for fellow vaper's rights, regardless of where they live.
I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. There are thousands of Canadians concerned with the uninformed
and misdirected legislation being aimed at the vaping community and small business owners who
make a living by providing effective non-cigalite alternatives to those who wish to better their lives and quit smoking.
Wherever they live!
I find it ironic therefore that as a Canadian it is apparently impossible to join CASAA, despite the pleas and suggestions
that all vapers should do so.
The application form will only accept Americans with a valid State and ZIP code.

My sincere retraction if I'm missing something and incorrect, but this appears to be the case.

I have emailed CASAA with my concerns, but have received no reply.
Seems a bit hypocritical to claim to be the voice of smoking-alternative advocacy, but to exclude
everyone who doesn't fit a zip code criteria.

No way they could help world wide with the limited resources they have now But you are in the unique position of forming Canadian CASAA or CCASAA Im sure they would help all they could to get you started.

Or at least give you leg up on how to get the same sort of thing going up there.

EDIT:Also Canucks dont usually take to kindly to Americans coming up there telling what to do and vice versa so best yall start your own thing.

They are 9 people. I'm sure they wish they could do more, but lack the resources to effectively fight everything going on here.

Ahh .. OK, given the publicity they generate I'm sure that many (including myself) are not aware that they are limited to 9 individuals.
Thanks for the information.

Then why don't ALL CASAA members donate more often and/or donate larger amounts of money? I see a lot of CASAA member here on ECF spending money on "unnecessary" items just to expand their vape "collection." If you (CASAA members) want to see change, then support CASAA and put CASAA ahead of your next vaping "upgrade" /purchase:)

I somewhat agree but first we need to get our own house in order before we can go to other countries. If others follow CA lead we are in for some serious battles

I posted in the other thread:

We have a workaround solution for this. When filling out the information for membership, use "American Somoa" for the state, and instead of putting a ZIP code (which non-US folks won't have), use their country code

So per Alex--

Use "country code" for ZIP (i.e. UK = 00044, CAN - just use your phone # prefix: QC = 00514, etc.)

This from Julie of CASAA. Alex is on the Board.

That's why they are concentrating on the State level problems and leaving the Local levels to organizations like The Vaping Militia

You meant "at all" & "or their time", I'm sure.
