Hey Webby...RIMP and I have a room booked at the Hampton for that weekend. We want to volunteer to help if you need it...let us know...
Thanks and see you there.:D

Absolutely!!! Consider yourselves drafted! Territoo is at the Hampton tonight (doing recon) and YES we DO need your help manning the CASAA booth. Have you already booked the room? If not, let me know and I'll make sure you get the Azalea Trail rate. Call me when you get into town and I'll get you CASAA passes and freebie CASAA T-Shirts for the show.

We're up to four bands and six gumbo competitors. The City was nervous about parking and has given us the Mobile Civic Center parking lot. We're based at the start of the Azalea Trail Run (approx. 4,000 runners) CASAA, Legacy 166 and the Make-A-Wish Foundation are chief sponsors of what is poised to be the largest pro-e-cig consumer event ever.

...whoa...

...we're gonna need a bigger batt....

LOL @ RIMP
Yes, it would be nice to get a break on the room...

Sorry Boo - you got it. Call the Hampton and tell them you're registyered and Cynthia Miller (the MGR) said you were supposed to get the Azalia Trail discount. You can mention my name (Michal Douglas) if they give you any slack.

Go get that discount!!!

So how was the CASAA Concert, guys??? Pics, or it didn't happpen :lol::lol:

>Hooooo<

...it took a week to decompress from the concert... I'll be posting the photos on CASAA's Site and on the thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/casaa/44910-casaa-gulf-coast-concert.html

I can't thank everyone enough for all their help and support, without all the CASAA volunteers this would never have come off. Boochips and RIMP were the first to arrive, but it wasn't long until Whiz and Mongo came too. Donley's crew showed up and from there on, dozens of vapers flooded the plaza.

Being a health-conscious running event, no analog smoker would dare light up at the ATR. But watching as all the 510s, 901s and (every homemade mod you could imagine) started popping up among the crowd was really neat.

What made it so cool (well...to me and Mrs. Webby at least) was watching the self-appointed-anti-smoking-Nazis. A few made the mistake of walking up to the (openly vaping) families who were camped out and listening to the bands.

Listening to the various ways my fellow e-cig users "witnessed" to people amazed me. There were bikers, young families, retired folks, gay, straight, white, black, hispanic - everyone who was there had a different (but always positive) take on e-cigs. Even the runners came by to ask questions and grab literature (thanks Kristin!). Everyone has a friend, co-worker or loved one who smokes analogs and is looking for a way to help them. This was a genuine American grass roots event, people helping people. Norman Rockwell would have been proud

With 5,000 "guests", it’s kind of hard to mingle but I spoke with everyone I could and passed out a ton of CASAA business cards. I also know that the CASAA tent sold a lot of shirts and gave away all 7,500 pieces of literature we had printed.

Seeing 600 people wearing shirts with "Think OUTSIDE the Pack" all across their back would probably stroke Thad's ego so much his head wouldn't make it through the doorway of the CASAA Honeycomb Hideout® so PLEASE don't tell him...

All in all, IMHO, it was a fantastic event. CASAA didn't make a ton of money, but that really wasn't the goal. Those who participated should be proud that they were involved in one of the largest public awareness events promoting electronic cigarettes ever.

I met some incredible people from all over the country -and to think all this all happened on one Saturday afternoon in Mobile, Alabama.

Imagine what we can do together?

Join CASAA!
