Cartel's latest rda "Cascata" (Italian for cascade) looks to be a unique, tiny flavor chaser dripper.

Ideally set up with a single 26g horizontal or dual verticals (or so Cartel's mod designer says in the video below) the Cascata has some interesting features that look to lend to an atomizer that focuses on flavor above all.

 • SMALL! 22mm x 26mm (Derringer dims)
 • The AFC is styled like the Odin where the negative "sides" are used to adjust the flow.
 • The deck is tilted to "cascade" juice into the wick and coil. It uses a small, semi circle vertical wall or "juice well hood" to direct the juice towards each end of the wick(s) on the other side.
 • The top cap has a juice fill hole that delivers juice directly to the rear "cascade" portion of the deck and deposits juice to the ends of the wicks, guided by the "juice well hood" and "choke points" to either side. The fill hole sits on the opposite side of the "juice well hood" opposite of the air inlet. Watch video for explanation. With a normal drip tip this hole can also server as an additional air hole.
 • Top cap has a reduced chamber section to decrease the air volume in the wick/coil side of the chamber.
 • Gold electroplated screws and positive post

I'm pretty impressed. I haven't been a huge Cartel fan as of late but this seems right up my flavor chasing alley. I know i've seen one or two on here... but i'm curious... what does everyone think? Those that have one... how are they and what's the closest comparison?

that guy got a dud, but aside from that looks interesting, it shows a better close up

Ah ok cool! I'll check it out tonight.

Very excited about that attty as it seems right up my alley. A nice flavor dripper with smart juice wicking and condensed chamber. Finally something a little new in the RDA world... not crazy new... but something lol.

OK so day 2 with my Cascata.

Excellent flavor. Dual verticals 28g Kanthal .35 Ohms

Leaking from center pin so I can't run it on my hybrid till I take it apart hopefully tonight and see if I can fix it.

The stock o rings that came with it are too loose and the cap almost falls off just by looking at it. replace it with the thicker of the spares that came with a Wofoto Troll, much better.

Stock cap gets hella hot if chain vaped and has a really tight fitting o ring. Fill hole is basically useless but I think it needs to be plugged or covered to deliver the best flavor.

Gold pins and plenty of spare screws are a nice touch.

Dual verticals and wicking to the choke points seems to lead juice to the vent hole on the side, it you fill past half way in the juice well you better keep it upright or you will have a juicy mess, couple that with the really loose fitting top cap with the standard o rings and just keep paper towels in your back pocket and maybe a bottle of water around to keep your hands clean.

Use a thicker o ring and don't fill past half way and it's workable as is.

I will be tweaking around tonight to see if I can set it up in a way to be able to put more juice in on the fills.

I've asked if they plan a delrin tip so hopefully they will.

Great potential here but be prepared to tweak a little to get the best from it.

I do see the juice, yikes! I "think" the idea with wicking the Cascata is to have the wick tails stuffed right at the left and right of the "juice hood" like pinch points so that standing juice filled via that fill hole sits in reserve only being able to move as it's wicked. I can't tell from your pic how your wick tails end. Maybe try a little more cotton cut flush to the ends of the hood sort of like a mini tank on one half with thick cotton "plugs" keeping it from dumping to the coil side?

How's it been treating you? Any new and improved builds? Still very much considering the Cascata but have been turned off with some of the QC issues people have had. Waiting on trying a clone first.

It looks real good sitting on my desk in an atty stand. Authentic Derringer is working well and giving my what I wanted from the Cascata. I'm gonna try a Horizontal single coil 22 awg build on it when my patience improves.

I specifically want the Cascata for big 3mm 26g single coil builds. Please let us know how the single 22 ends up working for ya.

Pretty cool but not for me. No more room or patience for airhole leakers in my lineup.

What is your favorite dripper right now?

I have the Cartel Stillare V3, and it is still my go-to. My only gripe with it is that since it is a 4 post, native 3-coil dripper, this thing SUCKS juice down like no tomorrow...which is expected when you're constantly running .2 - .3 builds with 3 coils. However, the shallow juice well irritates me. I wish it was a 1mm deeper, it'd make a huge improvement opinion imho.

But even though I have a Hobo V2, Orchid, Tobh v2, and many other "native 2-coil drippers", my stillare v3 is still my go to.... follow closely by my stillare v2. Not trying to be a Cartel Fanboy or anything, but those two drippers, and their mods are pretty hard to beat when combo'ed together.

So I'm curious on what your favorite dripper is... my stillare V3 will airhole leak from time to time because I'm constantly filling it up.

I just got this in the mail and im kinda worried about who said theres leaks from the 510 pin cause i took mine all apart and the insulator is all messed up and not right so i really really hope mine doesnt leak from the pin. Ill be ...... cause out of everything this comes with as in extras they didnt give an extra insulator which to me would be a big plus especially considering they give you a ton of different screws and o-rings, i dont see why they wouldnt throw an insulator in there. Im about to toss a build in there and see how it goes. Wish me luck!

How did the Cascata turn out? I'm still very much on the fence about picking one up as i'm not hearing a lot of good about the RDA aside from it's flavor.
