Has anyone tried adding charred white oak chips to recipes or even steeping in small oak barrels ?

I know MUGGS did a few recipes in a barrel but I'm thinking medium charred oak chips soak them in a little jack for a couple days, let them dry and do a ( 3 day heated ? ) PG / PGA extraction,
Maybe add a flavor ?

you don't wanna add any sweet alcohol, with unfermented sugars, to your juice - it will burn

There is at least one eliquid company that ages their juice in oak barrels, but I can't recall which...

I actually did get some oak flavor from FA in my last order, and at some point I plan to mess around with the TFA Bourbon and some other stuff.
