Cat Allergic to PG and VG?

My cat HATES something in the vapor form my e cig. Used PG for a week, it ran and its eyes watered and 'welded' shut. Real sad. Used VG because I read something on here that said cats may be allergic to PV. No change. Even before shes sees it (vapor) her eyes start to water bad.

1st I give up smokes now I have to give up my cat.

Anyone else ever see this?

My question would be how much are you vaping and does your cat sit on your lap as you vape? Might be worth a call to a vet to inquire or just keep the cat out of the room when you are vaping.

No, there's plenty of fresh air. Not a lap cat. Stays away. I only vape 1/2 a cart of vanilla. I don't see the problem.It's going before my PV is. Adios cat!

Wow, I didn't know this! I vape in bed at night with my cat, Sophie, laying right next to me on the pillow. I'm going to have to stop doing this and start vaping away from the cat.

we had a discussion about this a few months ago. some vets say it should be fine as long as you don't blow it in their face. Me, I just vape vg

I would be pretty surprised to find out that vaping causes cats/dogs to ingest and metabolize great amounts of PG. (41% of diet?) But I suppose stranger things have happened. My elderly cat has done fine with nearly 3 years of second-hand vape.

Thanks guys. I Use the VG now but no change. Out on the balcony or nothing. She hated analogs the same way a few months back when 'they' added another slew of poisons to them. She knew 1st! Sure enough, it was too much on the lungs and quitting was in order. Enter, the word of vaping.

Your cat is sick, I have one and he doesn't mind the vaping at all ! Even when I'm vaping he always come at my side and want me to pet him, he's quite affectionate. I'd take your cat to the vet to see what's wrong with it.

Maybe I'm part cat...my eyes seem to get all "chapped"-like under my eyes now that i'm using juices. Very weird. I get winter dry skin but never puffy and chapped under my eyes like this. I haven't seen anyone else having this problem.

Well, after watching the poor thing try and live 'blind' for weeks, I gave up walking her to her dish, the water, her litter box. Must have been the only cat on the planet as I haven't read of ONE single problem cat other than mine. After 11 years it takes a PV to realise my cat's ......ed? Well, now it's gone. Problem solved!

I would have been curious though to know what the vet would have said, like what kind of sickness your cat had because it wasn't normal.

Sorry about your furry friend. My boss, the cat, doesn't seem to have a problem with it, nor does it seem to bother my Service Dog. TG, cuz I couldn't live without my furry-kids! I am extremely careful that not one drop spills anywhere and I'm constantly washing my hands so I don't get any juice on their fur. My boss, Willie the Snowshoe Siamese, even sits in my lap and bats at the vapor. I try not to let him do that too much, as I don't want to push the envelope and have him get sick. My heart just goes out to you for your loss!

Dang, I couldn't live without my kitties n puppies either....just couldn't do it, vaping or not. All mine don't care a bit about my vapor either, it does make one think that this cat was otherwise ill. Sad story for pet lovers...
