I was aware of the Atomic screw problems almost from the beginning and when I received it I took them and chucked them up in a drill and used a small flat file to grind the heads down. Then I held the screw in my fingertips and flattened the end of the threads on the same file. I eliminated both problems from the start and it took less that 5 minutes... I hate socket set screws!!!

Updating my DIBS - for one Cyclone from the next batch, with airhole drilled to 2 mm please.

Anyone know, what's the stock airhole on a Cyclone, and what would you recommend drilling to, for like "one step up".
I'm not sub-ohming even - I mean, I might, but not like .2, and I'm not cloud-chasing: i just find the draw a little tighter than I like.

Thanks!
Oh - and if there's still Cyclones: DIBS.

What do I do XifX when I lose the teensy allen wrench?
I got 25 replacement screws already, so I don't want to replace with a different type, just want a backup for the silly little allen...
What size is it, and are they available somewhere?

Per the previous post, you can order a .050" hex screw. I'm about to buy one for that and a .035" hex screw for the cyclone. Try to be sure it's not a ball point. Amazon sells them for $7 a pop.

Or you can go the chowder route and spend $100+ for a complete set of Hudy hex drivers.

Yo Chowder. not sure if you saw my post earlier or if you've mailed out my cyclone already. But it'll be sweet if you could help me drill out the stock cap to 2mm air holes. Thanks!

The cyclones that were on hold shipped yesterday and are scheduled to be in you mailbox Monday.

The Hudys are available one at a time. Usually around $18 and you only need 2. Three if you count the Zenith.
Check Amainhobbies. In my days of R/C I learned not to trust cheap tools. Wiha is another more affordable option but of high quality. Don't buy Chinese tool and hope for longevity.

What size is for a zenith? I'll be getting one of those soon. Wiha is sold for 7 or 8 a pop on amazon. I did an early/late am search around 4 am and didn't see anything but a full set in my half asleep stupor.

Zenith uses a 1.5mm

Received my Reactor V2 today and all I can say is WOW!!! This thing will give the Cyclone and the Aromic a run for their money... Set it up w/ dual 27g 1/16" micro's @ .48Ω and it is buzzing... Power packed little dude. It is drip tip challenged though. I got one of my cloud chasers to fit it but its gonna take an act of god to get it off there... Thanks Chowderhead....

Another reactor arrival...
HezmZez.jpg

This will relegate my modded (authentic) Atomic to the parts bin to collect dust.

It squonks and drains like a dream. The Atomic's smallest holes were too airy for a mouth- lung hit. After enlarging the Reactor's air holes a bit with a needle file, it's perfect. It's a breeze to build on. It provides more flavor and just as much vapor.

Bang-up job Chowderhead!

Alright guys on to new bussiness: I spent a little time in the shop today, modded a few sent in atties and converted three Magma clones. These are easily the nicest clones I have seen to date. All stainless, machined perfectly, rock solid. I think this may become my next Atomic. Until the mother load arrives I have these three for sale. I have 1 brushed ss blem and 2 black perfect Magma's.
Black Magma b/f $48 (2 available)
SS Magma b/f blem $30 (sold)
Brass Quasar clone b/f $40 (1 available)
Authentic Madz Modz Reactor v2 bf $50.80 (4 available)
EHPro Atomic b/f on the way
Vicious Ant (2013 cupped deck) Cyclone b/f on the way

Any suggestions for different atties? I'm all ears.
I am on the lookout for all SS Zenith clones.
Plumeveil Demo on the way.

I will take one of the reactors. Can you drill out the air hole to the smallest size of the Atomic? Hard to tell how big the air hole is in the pics. I will be using it only for single coils, so no need to do both sides. How much is it? I will send you the money and you can ship it with my other stuff.
