The problem with the reactor is due to the non-negotiatable 200 piece MOQ and relatively low margins I have to know I could sell at least 2/3ds quickly much like the Derringer. The Reactor is awesome but it just doesn't have the market penetration that the Derringer has. The Reactor is THE atty that most people should be using on a 18490 device or any bottom feeder that lacks S/o contacts and/or a 30a high drain battery. I love my big attys but for efficiency and longevity I would rather have a Reactor over any other atty; Chalice included. I'm sure opinions vary on this but I am just not willing to put up with quirkiness just because it's bottom fed. This applies to my passed on Nuppins as well as my passed on Chalices. I try to keep up with latest and greatest of bottom feeding and I'm not convinced either of them were worth the hype. I'mho the Mephisto, the Derringer and the Veritas bf were superior but again opinions vary.

I have dreams of:
18mm Marquis bf with a 1 piece top cap
16mm Derringer bf with a severely cupped deck
18mm atomic bf with a cupped deck, functional afc, and decent hardware
16mm reactor with a cupped deck and a perfect afc
I'm also considering implementing high strength aluminum (7075, 7050, 7068)into the decks and caps for weight reduction and better conductivity. Imagine a 18mm Marquis bf that weighs less than a cyclone... Before telling me aluminum is to weak look up "7068 aluminum" or "7050 aluminum". 7068 has 80% of the tensile strength of titanium with nearly double the conductivity. I do a lot of research!
These are the concepts I will be taking to the machine shop in March.

Count me in for 2 of the 16mm Derringer bf.

Zach thinks you're pretty awesome too....

I just have you down for a single Cyclone. Total $66 shipped. There's lots of room in that box, I'm pretty sure I could squeeze a Pda in there.

Sure what the heck [emoji6] How much for a PDA and I will add one to the Cyclone? And some Phillips heads for the Cyclone.

Does the PDA come in brass? i love some brass! LOL

Add me to the Reactor list for two 2, CH does a great job on all his Atties.

... If I ever finish all of the Derringers I have a meeting with a machine shop to hash out my ideas. My front runner is the reactor crossed with the Derringer with a coned/dished deck with a twisted "T" center post. Psyched yet?

definitely interested in the crossbreed atty for sure!twisted T sounds pretty cool!

That's what I've been holding out for, I think he's aiming for a 17-19mm diameter... or thereabouts.

... I can believe there hasn't been any comments on the 7068/7050 aluminum. I could see that being highly controversial. I'm sick of overweight attys, they make my Reos top heavy and there is always room for improvement when it comes to conductivity.

I think those of us who have bought your Atties have full faith in any decisions you're contemplating... I Positively support your aluminum concept.

My only concern would be heat, but I am looking forward to hearing more. Aluminum mods, why not an aluminum atty, right?

Sounds awesome, depending on cost impact.

It's not like the little ones are tipping over our Reo's...but lighter with good conductivity and strength - how's that controversial?

No controversy to me, I'd pay a bit more for one of your custom RDAs made of fancypants alumlinum! [emoji5]

Seriously, I love that you constantly try to up your game with new ideas outside the "box". If there ever is an endgame RDA I know for sure it will come from a list in this thread. Current Derringer is very close!

Those are probably ALL the wrong one.
A new 22mm Reactor just came out recently. It's just another atty...

The Catfish Reactor is a tiny little thing...and there's only one, an authentic Madz Modz.
Here's mine. I know - drip tip selection is pure genious. The combo is SOLID - feels like a hunk of steel with a couple coils deep inside somwhere...

Tom, I have the utmost confidence in the design you chose. Bottom line is we all have different preferences and we'll all never agree on the perfect atty;) But that's what makes us all individuals. That being said I'd like to see a 18-19mm with the t-post or block style 4 post, (not sure that would even be possible) shape similar to the VPX. Airflow control that would produce a vortex swirl effect. As far as metal is concerned I think 7068 would be very cool! ;)

Still a spot left for the Derringer ? Just got my clone in and used the CH rogue's center post. Works great and I love it, so I'm in for an authentic. If there's a spot left!

Plain white from Sculpteo. Shapeways might be cheaper but their service sucks and their print time and shipping takes twice as long. I place an order on Sculpteo (France) and it prints and ships to (PA) in 6 days! Second one coming on Tuesday. This one above it plain ol white with sharpie graffiti and sealed with krylon matte 1311. If your thinking about it, just get one you won't be disappointed. If you don't have the parts kit oh well just order the shell so you have it. An internet site should be up soon where you can order the whole parts kit from one place with reasonable prices! Keep an eye on Gdeal's thread!

mark ,thx. I havent been on the thread in a while. Someone is doing the whole kit or is gdeal doing it? Iam assuming by parts you mean all the internals needed minus the shell.
Your welcome. And yes I mean you should just order the printed part now, from sculpteo. That takes care of the shell and top cap piece/ button. Then here in a few weeks, there will be a place you can order all of the nuts, bolts, battery contacts, and lugs you need to put it all together and make it work. I'm not sure if it'll be Gdeal himself selling them on this site, but his beta testers are working on getting it all ready. So keep an eye on those threads and a link to buy the full parts kit should be up soon!
