I think we should all try to focus on establishing to ourselves what airflow and taste we are after.
For example I love the Marquis, veritas, raptor but I also love the rogue.
Broken down air: Marquis: 6/10 VERITAS 5.5/10, Raptor 5/10 rogue 8/10. I'm a 6/10 air kinda guy.

Imo the Nuppin is a 4/10 for air
Cyclone (stock cap)
Cyclone afc 3/10
Atomic 6/10 wide open

How much air do you like?

I guess I'm a 5/10 kind of guy. I like the Marquis, but close it down a little, Love the Veritas wide open, same with the Raptor, the non-bf Rogue I tried was mehh and way too airy for me and I love my Atomic now that I figured out how to not break the posts. i disagree with you on the Nuppin I think it's 5/10 wide open (which is how I run mine) I was actually surprised by the Derringer's airflow. I like it, but it definitely a different vape than the dense, thick vape of the Marquis/Veritas?Raptor. I actually put it right along side the Nuppin' for the type of open vape it is. I end up using the Nuppin, and Derringers quite a bit because they are so easy to build and re-wick, but when I have time to get them dialed in perfect, the Marquis and Veritas is the best. Oh and surprisingly the Astron is up there close to the Veritas in flavor, but with a little less airflow. I think it's the domed top cap and small chamber. With CH's convention to BF it's got a permanent home on one of my dna squonkers, but then I also disagree with you CH on the Origen v3. It's not quite as good as the big 3 (Marquis/Veritas?Raptor) with dual vertical coils and the airflow wide open it's close to that dense, wet vaping we both seem to like. I don't recommend it to often because it's almost as difficult to get it setup with the perfect balance of wattage, airflow, resistance and wicking as the big 3 and when it's all said and done it's not quite there, but I do like the way it looks and it's still what I'd consider a "good vape".

I jumped on a few of the lists lately, but now that I've written down what I really like I may need to step back and do a little research on other atties that have the thick, wet warm vape that I like. The conflict I have is that I really love the smaller atties for both esthetics and pocket-ability, but all my favorites vapes are taller atties. I guess I should just happy that the top 3 are smaller than the Magma which was my favorite back in the day. (all gargantuan, leaky, and restricted airflow beast that it was)

Ok that was a big block of text, but I don't post all that often anymore in this thread so I figure I'm due. LOL

later folks,
Ken

I will not be renewing my ecf membership in July unless the inbox situation is fixed. Now if I search for a last name in my inbox I get a hundred pages of irrelevant BS.

If you have placed an order with me since Thursday I NEED a pm or better yet an email with your shipping info, your order, and the name on your PayPal account. What a EFING NIGHTMARE!

Send email to the same address as my PayPal. Nice job Unforseen! Way to drop the ball... You have turned this forum into Shiitte! Take a bow..... I forsee most suppliers following suit. The current situation will not work.

One more thing... Do not start a new conversation if you already have one open!
I need info from:
Klompus
Barnes
Galaxy
Larsen
Roberts

CH I have an odin pin that started spinning. It was one of your early odin runs. What's your advice on that? Thanks man.
If you have a 2mm Allen wrench hold the post in position and tighten the pin on the bottom. Don't get crazy as the bored out m2.5 bolt isn't super strong like the m3 bolt I use now.

Chowder any thoughts on starting a Facebook group? Seems like it would be a good alternative... If you would like help setting one up let me know
I have one... Search for "Catfish Atty Mods" on facebook. Either Chad Bates, Adrian Harris, or I will add you...

Chowder, I can only hope your issues with the new forum are resolved sooner than your subscription ends. With the prospect of you leaving, I can foresee a major ding in my vape budget so much sooner.

It's up to them... I don't want to go but I can't operate like this... My inbox is a mess, I can't search my inbox. How am I supposed to find shipping info? Supreme Nightmare! I'm going to have to change the rules just to keep up at the current rate, let alone big runs. I'm cringing at the thought of the Derringer run.

Personally I'm more of a flavor junkie but the thought of an atty smaller than 18mm leaves me limp. I like flavor with the OPTION of big air but it MUST have the ability to be closed down for flavor.

Just thought you guys should be aware of this.

I am also a flavor chaser with Air Option. Still chasing that dense vapor feeling on the inhale with flavor.

I have the Odin, the Nuppin V2.0 and RM2. I get juice build up which ends up leaking through the air holes and inside my drip tip which ends up in my mouth. This is not from vaping the whole day usually after about 10-20 vapes. I vape 50/50 & 70VG/30PG. The only one that has not given me the air hole leaking problem is nupin V2.0.

I E-mailed with Russ after his review on the Rogue (Great Reviews & He Propelled me into the next tier with Vaping) and I am having also that same coil integrity problem. Running 29 G Kanthal, 8 wraps TMC coils.

Was wondering if the HellBoy or Rogue would be the solution? Or any other recommendation you may have would be greatly appreciated. Reason my 2 Reos are still sitting at home and only travel with me on the weekends.

looks like you need to be a facebook member to find the C.A.M. group, if I search it with google I get superX's 'book but no group.

on the PM front: mikepetro said in his DNA group buy thread that there is no link between pre- and post-switchover PM conversations. If you send a message on an "old" conversation it will not arrive. I dunno, I didn't bother to go find the bug report thread or anything.

Hey tom, in an effort to not clutter your inbox I thought I would ask you here if you've gotten a chance to mod the jakiro I sent in. And while I'm at it, what's the eta for the mantas?
As of right now it's going to be a minute. I have a bunch of send ins that have appeared since Thursday (ironically after I said no more send ins). About a third of them are ahead of you. Possibly tomorrow.

Personally I wouldn't suggest either of them but if you had to pic maybe the Hellboy. The upcoming manta2 will be more your speed. For the condensation issue: let off the power button a second before you stop drawing air through it. The issue is leftover steam/VAPE and the fact that the stainless cools rapidly. I had the same issue with my Kayfuns badly. Large bore drip tips help also.

Tom

Like most folks I am not happy with the new software upgrade, so I don't spend much time on ECF anymore. Since I refuse to do Facebook or any of the others, if we loose you here I'll just have to rely on email. You really need a web site.

BTW, thanks again for the offer to send the Veritas back to you for rework. Sorry I haven't sent it yet, but I've all but decided not to build the 4 Peko's, so it hasn't been a priority.

I like the mini haze but I'll give Henry Etta time to decide.
It looks like it has two big openings and two smaller openings on the air flow. Four slots open or two slots but looks like you could close it down a fair bit if you wanted. Depending on how much metal there is to close of the slots between the gaps on the air flow part.
I sure appreciate it! :toast: I figured someone would jump on anyway... no worries, though, because if they're good enough, CH will do a bigger run, and we'll all get a chance.
