Either would be good but the Vertex has been discontinued due to lack of interest.

And yes I would put you on the list with Hildecat and Kiwi

Still get use out of the Vertex. It was underrated and I think some folks got a bad taste for them, so to speak.

I'm thinking that I may have to get on the next REMatty list after I get the bonsai and Mini Haze . Am liking the looks of it and it reminds me of the Derringer. [emoji6]

are we allowed to trade CH attys in this thread? Cuz if so I have a hardly used blsck fsm, and a hardly used ss baal That I'd like to trade for something (would be more than willing to do 2 for 1)
It doesn't bother me however the fine folks moderating tend to have an issue.

How about the Vertex or FSMini? Those two can be dialed down for flavor draws. Most everything that I have gets dialed down so I guess you could say that I'm for the tighter draws also. And of course the Derringer is good as well.

FS Mini good call. I like the small size. I like wide open air flow. Vertex looks good too. Dual or single. Not the small form I was originally looking at, but I like it.

Going to post this in the REO RBA thread as well to get other members opinions that may not follow this thread.

I'm doing my homework, my first and only RBA so far is the tiny one for the Joyetech Egrip all in one regulated mod. I'm now looking at REO mods. My goal is a tiny pocket vape, so the REO Mini LP is my first choice if Rob makes any more, otherwise the REO Mini 2.1 LP, it's just "fatter", for thicker battery. I am a "mouth to lung" MTL, low wattage flavor chaser, but like the idea of an RBA that is flexible so down the road I could try dual coil builds as well, and so not to be locked into just one style of vaping, an AFC to customize airflow seems like another must have on my wish list. I'd rather not start with the RM2, as the materials are not all stainless, but more importantly you are limited to its air hole size unless you drill out. Seems AFC gives one all the options, depending on design.

So far I've read about RM2, Chalice 3, Hornet, Cyclone "Cyclops" AFC BF model, Deringer, and now REMatty. Not having tried many of the RBA's you more experienced users have, I have no idea of how placement of the air holes effect the vapor. As well as where the juice comes out when sqounked. The RM2 the juice comes out the bottom hole, some through the bottom of the middle pin, and if I recall the Cylone had the juice come out of a hole, HIGHER up from the middle post. Seems drainage is another consideration, so extra juice flows back down into the bottle, which some converted dripper RBA's may not do as well as they were not originally designed for bottom feeding. Conical deck versus flat deck etc.

I'm really interested in designs that DON'T LEAK juice, so from what I've been reading air hole placement can factor into that as well as a tiny pocket mod can find itself upside down, sideways etc. Seems proper drainage back to bottle is a factor, leaving less unvaped juice on the well.

Along my goals of tiny mod size, (REO MINI), choosing a low profile SHORT in height RBA, led me to the Deringer, I see there may be some post and cap issues, and now I see this new player REMatty! Since it's so new, not sure about any issues it may have, but I see it has top feed AIR HOLES - AFC, and dual coil capable.

So as of this writing, here are my concerns, in the hopes of buying my first real and hopefully best for my vaping style, RBA BF.

The REMatty, looks as short as I would like (Deringer low), but not sure how it would look or fit if I end up with the smallest REO "mini" 14500 LP? (I'm not sure how thin the REO mini is compared to the mini 2.1). At 22mm wide, will the cover slide up clearing the RBA, not a big deal if I can still slide it down to access battery/juice compartment. Will it overlap the 510 base/well top, on a REO mini LP and look dumb? Someone reported the REO button cover did not work well with 22mm toppers on his REO Mini 2.1, too close or blocked larger button top.

Will the REMatty, perform just as well as a SINGLE coil flavor producer at lower watts (12-18)? I like the flexibility of option of DUAL coils down the road, but not sure I would like or need it, nice to have.

Will the AFC on the REMatty give me MTL results, I assume good air hole control allows this, and good air customization.

Have read that with air holes on top this RBA would have less chance of leaking then both side and bottom air hole designed RBA's, something I desire as a rookie squonker!

This all gathered from reading and online photos, no hands on experience. So I'm fishing for comments, advise, and opinions. Sorry for all the questions, wanted to put it all in one post, this is going to be a $300 plus purchase so I'm hoping to get it right the first time. THANKS!

Same thing happened with the first build I tried on the Manta.
Ended up centering the coils and places them very close to the posts.
The air intake holes are on the narrower part of the cap; the coils need to be within
that space not the outer part. very flavorful atty
I FINALLY got to rebuilding the Manta just a bit ago, though my build looks a good bit more wonky. Works great so I'll just use it for now.

It came out to 0.49 ohms and works like a champ!

Off topic:
Sunbox monster (26650) e7 + Marquis authentic+ dual Genny wicks + JazzyBoa= best vape I have ever had, ever. Looks like I'm keeping the last 3 Marquis authentics..... If you have Marquis BF clone or authentic you really owe it to yourself to try a pair of Genesis wicks maybe it will change your life too. With the deep well and 5mm deep juice well of the Marquis BF it's a perfect match, with no dry hits. Baller!
Tom, give the nectar another try with a mesh u wick in it. I get the best flavor I've ever had from it even though the draw is tight it is amazing.

Good info for what you are looking for. I have just one question that I think will help narrow down things more. The Reo Mini (not 2.1) is narrow as you stated. A standard 22mm BF atty is going to hang over the edges of the mini. Will this bother you? Also be aware that it will prevent you from sliding the door upwards, but you will be able to slide the door downwards.

That being said, the Grand is smaller than you think. Smaller than a pack of cigarettes. The mini 2.1 has the same depth, but is narrow and shorter. The Derringer will fit without overhang and prevents the door from sliding up. The regular mini is even smaller yet.

Hmmmmm, Steelgirl + Hellboy lol... Nice sound to it. But I think it's a bit too "tough guy" for this chick. I'd like to try the Rogue. Will you sell me one CH ? Someone has also offered to sell me a BF CLT V1, which looks pretty nice.

CH, I'm not sure if you saw my question... Do you have a BF Rogue avail for me to buy ?

The REMatty is supposedly 22mm wide same as Deringer, so overhang should be the same regardless between Grand LP and Mini 2.1 LP, they are both the same thickness, Grand being ONLY taller for 18650 battery. As the original Mini 14500, is thinner in depth, I'm not sure how it will look or function, and this REMatty RBA is so new, not much info out there on the web in this configuration (REO MINI 14500 LP), which is NOT as of now even sold on the REO site.

Maybe we are talking same thing? If the Derringer or REMatty, both 22mm, HANG over the actual edge of the body of a REO MINI 14500 LP, then yes, that would NOT look or hand hold well. Seems all the photos of 22mm RBA's I've seen, on Grands and Mini 2.1's, overhang the square drip well area, but that's fine.

Still can't use my vertex, bad topcap and ruined orings, so I moved on to other attys.
I have had replacement top caps for the vertex for months. All you have to do is ask and I will include it on your next order.

Ermigersh. Tell her how!

 lol

(paypal, followed by an email...actually, how-to oughta be someplace people can reference. Maybe on the stock list?)
That is a great idea! I take it for granted to know the process of payment/email.

Sorry I didn't think to give the fine details Steelgirl. [emoji16]
