CDC Belatedly Reveals That Smoking by Teenagers Dropped While Vaping Rose - Hit & Run : Reason.com

" In a Medscape interview a few weeks later, Frieden suggested that fear had already materialized, asserting that "many kids are starting out with e-cigarettes and then going on to smoke conventional cigarettes." Yet the CDC's data, which came from the 2012 National Youth tobacco Survey (NYTS), did not support that claim. In fact, nine out of 10 high school students who reported vaping in the previous month were already cigarette smokers, suggesting that the increase in e-cigarette consumption might signal successful harm reduction. Last week the CDC reported additional NYTS data that further undermine Frieden's claim, showing that smoking among teenagers fell as vaping rose."

I have a suggestion. If you live in Ohio, send a short email to Sen. Sherrod Brown with a link to Sullum's article. This is what Brown has been up to. http://www.13abc.com/story/23870686/e-cigs

Whenever I send emails to Sen. Brown, I get emails back thanking me for my support on totally unrelated issues. LOL. I'll keep trying though.

Click bang Russ has a link to the FDA reply back to AG letter. It sounds very biased, sharing the same concern about the kids.
The FDA could use these facts that the CDC hid from everyone. How do we send it to them?
Just my opinion, The FDA's "experts" already know the true results of the study. These organizations are all in bed together. I don't see us getting a fair shake here period. Every bit of positive evidence hasn't really changed the opinions of anyone that counts. Or has it?? Another delay in the demon regulations. Its just to hard to read this situation anymore.

I understand, and agree with you, but I keep hearing them sigh and say "no positive studies have yet been reported to us".

How about we flood them ...

well, Uma, some vapers in Europe did just that.
Printed out about 3 big Leitz folders full of the studies which allegedly "do not exist" and sent those bundles of 3 folders to several of the worst liars :sneaky:

And great article, Elaine
That's right! I somehow let that skip my mind. Probably because I don't have a prince or access to ones. I hope others can do it for us.

Love your new avatar pic!
