Hi there, Cdr. Nice to meet you too... although I'm sure I've infiltrated your threads before, probably with an unsuccessful stab at humor. =)

I think I got the beta version of Hunter's Blend, btw. I was given instructions of ingredients to add to it soon after receiving it to achieve Hunter's Blend v2.0. <g>

Great job with pics, btw.

30ml HONEY FLUE
30ML APPLEWOOD
30ML RY4
30ML eJoker
should be getting my 2nd one tomorrow
10ml honey flu nut
10ml dulce de leche
10ml vanilla bean
10ml 555
10ml malty toffee
10ml hunters blend
but im resisting and gonna let it sit b4 getting to any of these...

Cdr Says:

Applewood has his signature tobacco smoothness as an undertone from inhale to exhale as well as a……well, Applewood flavor from inhale to exhale. It’s flavor comes thru as woodsy with a hint of apple. Not apple in the fruity sense of the word, but like the aromatic wood kind. As hickory, chickory, or mesquite gives food a wonderful taste for BBQing, the Applewood does that for his signature tobacco blend. I’m telling ya, you have to try this one. This is one of those flavors that will just appeal to every palate. Can’t see it not being that way. Every vapor should have the chance to get happily addicted to this stuff.

OMG!...I could not have said this better!!
I just ordered this juice and i thought i wouldn't like it but, guess what? It's my favorite so far
It's like this perfect mix, like the apple and tobacco were meant to go together!
I will be ordering more!

Hey there Richie G, nice to finally meet you. Hunters is my all day vape right now. Still have my Blueberry in the morning and my Vanilla in the evenings. During the day I just grab my Hunters and off I go. I Love It!

Was looking for someone vaping the Blueberry. I've been looking for good Blueberry tobacco flavor, and so far the one here at Blackwood's seem to have favorable opinions. I assume it's a good place to start? :)

BWB is always a good place to start. In fact, some just stay there forever. ;)

Man, i would love to get BWB to work for me.. I really liked several of the flavors and would love to try the famous RY4 but I swear, it is waaaaay thicker than Bobas or any other juice I have had... Its supposed to be 30 per cent VG I think but i can never get it to work in cartos and it seems like straight VG... I have some 50 50 Vixen vapors right now that i like a lot and that is thinner too.... Seems with other liquids, they seem to thin out after a while but my last order from BWB was Malty and Malty toffee and they stayed honey thick the entire time I had them- like 6 months.. Does anyone else feel this way?
I dig all juices with high VG but it is very hard to tell which are going to be super thick...

Actually just checked their site again and realized that the two I mentioned have the opposite percentages (70/30) which explains a lot... Still seems more like 100 per cent VG with no alcohol or water to dilute it at all..
Since I answered my original question, answer me this instead- How are the other ones? A little thinner?
Thanks guys.

Does anyone think BWB is VERY PERFUMEY?

Ya gotta realise. Everyone's taste buds are different. People rave about Casablanca, yet it's not for me. Tastes like pepper to me. But for many it's fruit of the gods. BwB may not be for you. I'm sure you'll find one you like tho. Hard not to. BwB is amazing.

quite the opposite IMO... I think that's why it's my fav... because it's not to me... but to validate your concern... I have heard folks say that before... so I think it's a personal thing etc...

Like Cdrtrip said... don uses so many different brands of flavorings that other juices don't really share too many characteristics...

CDrTrip... where you been? nice to see you ;-)

REally!? I thought everyone had the same tastebuds... Perfume is perfume is perfume. Dont mean to turn ya off of it, like I could. But, I'm prettty sure that's why everyone says they need it to steep for so long. (Maybe they just don't comprehend that that is perfum their tasting/smelling/feeling).. :) Now that my BWB's have steeped for a while, the perfume has gone away.. But that still makes me question the source of flavorings.

For the first six months of my now one-year vaping journey, BWB was absolutely my #1 go-to vendor. I still have 23 BWB juices in my stash, most purchased in that initial six months. Over the past six months, however, BWB juices have lost some luster for me. I don't taste perfume in them, but my palate does register a characteristic flavor signature to many of Don's tobaccos, and that flavor has sort of paled for me. I still consider Backwoods Brew to be a great vendor, and Don's clearly a juice alchemist, but other juice vendors have come along that hold my attention more now---VermillionRiver, NiteLiteVapor, PrimeVaping, CopperCreek, just to name a few. Don's coffees (Café Mocha, Espresso, and Cappuccino) are still yummy to me, but the tobacco flavors have been eclipsed by those from other vendors using natural extracts or absolute. I don't not like them, I just like them less than before.

When I first bought some Perfumer's Apprentice flavorings last winter, they all tasted perfumey to me, which I hated. Now they don't (new purchases of PA flavorings, I mean). I don't know if the flavorings have changed or if I've changed, but that unpleasant floral taste is no longer present, and the flavorings are now much better for DIY.

I hate to chime in here in agreement, considering so many people love BWB's stuff, but I have to be honest here. I'm not a fan of the flavor. I've got Applewood and 555, and both taste very "Dekangy" to me. Now, to be fair, the throat hits are awesome and the clouds of vapor are, well, clouds. But the flavor... In all honesty, it tastes like it starts with a Dekang base, with a little extra flavoring added.

It might very well be that I got a bad batch, but since two different flavors give me the same vibe, I'm thinking it's just a case of subjective preference. And indeed, it is subjective. Those of you who love BWB's products, rock on. All that matters is that you like what you like.
