I don't know what to do, i've heard great things on youtube about ego tank, grreat things of Clearomizers,
But without a doubt all great things about LR cisco 510 (2.0) i use atty's.

Why on ECF the posts are like 70% negative on both the tank and ce2's, but no negative reviews on LR cisco atty's wether 306 or 510 (my pref.)
:vapor:
Can somebody please tell me if I should try the Clearomizers (clear vs. metal) clears break i hear from dropping or what not......and has anybody also tasted that burnt taste on clearomizers i've read alot about....perhaps it's just not ready for primtime, since i read they wrap the wicks by hand so their not all exactly done the same..hence the negative reviews...

I just ordered 3 more cisco 2.0ohms atty's yesterday, didn't want any ghost in my machine so to speak (ce2 not working right).

Tahnks for any reply, will help me and some other slightly confused vaporers...

Cheers and thanks all!

best is to try out for yourself. live and learn. to each his own. whatever floats your boat. YMMV.

I just didn't want to float my boat, that has the S.S minow tagline on it's side..lol. (gilligans island)!

But yea, throwing 15 bills down the drain ain't the worst thing in life, but i'd rather hear from some owners of them, and tally up the pro vs. nay's.

Thanks for ur 2Cents tho...!

I read all the negative experiences others were having. . .ordered my own to see, (sorta from Missouri). I've had totally opposite experience with mine than what I have read. Don't know what, if anything, I'm doing to achieve my positive results. May be technique, juice, PV, or maybe just holding my breath right. All I know is what I see. And all I vape is 50/50 or > % VG Cinnamon. JMHO

Cheers,
otrpu

Also, i heard the clearomizers can crack...and u can only fill them like 4 times...other said one will last a month....why the big disparity?

Are the non-clear clearomizers (steel or whatever) better since it won't crack...?
Gonna order some tonight but wan't to get the one with most life, and less death..er cracks...on it.....
thanks all for any reply...

Apologies in advance. I'm about to tell you more than you probably wanted to know.

The CE2 is ready for prime time but just not as straightforward as a cartomizer with fill. I hate fill.

Anyway, the most challenging part of using a regular carto is making sure the poly fill is evenly soaked. CE2s are empty chambers that use looped wicks to get the liquid to a coil inside a cup at the top.

The burning taste some complain about is because, I think, they've applied heat to a wick that hasn't wicked, such as when the final cap is on too tight and liquid isn't wicking all the way to the coil. Another reason could be they're using batteries hot off the charger and heating the wick faster than it can wick liquid.

Buy a pack with no expectations and try them out when you have time. Here are some tips I think could help you find success:

1. Try it on a small battery mod like something with a 14500 or 10440 first
2. Buy 2.8 or 3.2 ohm
3. Remove all the caps, including that last gasket
4. Fill - use a syringe or pour down inside walls
5. Place the last gasket lightly back over the cup, lining the notches over the wicks if you worry about spillage and before you top with the mouthpiece that comes in the package. Otherwise, but that second ring before you put on the mouthpiece
6. For high VG juice allow some time for it to wick before vaping - some say 1/2 hour but I'd say 5-10 minutes
7. Some put a drop or two of juice directly on the coil - can't hurt
8. Vape

I love the way the stainless looks but having a clear one really helped me figure out just how much juice these take so that's a personal thing. The Clearomizers come apart if you use a drip tip rather than the little mouthpiece and after a cleaning or two. I'd still get a pack just to see what you're doing. If they work you could make your next order black or stainless, which are more sturdy.

Again, I'm sorry for the length. I'm glad I kept experimenting, despite those who don't like them, because they are awesome. To me. Your mileage may vary.

Happy vaping! :vapor:

I loved the ce2 for the first 24 hours...

after that it went down hill fast.

I went to take it off my pv and the plastic casing detached from the rest of it... i was left with a hand full of juice and in my other a plastic tube. it stuck back together pretty easily... but everything after that has been downhill... wicking problems, burning, leaking, cracking... this thing is just falling apart on me bad... (mind you I only have the one not a whole pack) this could just be a dud... but I am not impressed... it looks cool... but it feels cheaply made. I sort of wish it was a higher quality plastic or even glass...

I'll be sticking to the metal version. I really like the way it looks, but until the kinks get worked out i'll stay away from them.

I agree 110% the stainless looks much better but the Clear are great for learning how to fill. One thing that was left out is the clear are more fragile and come apart if you not careful. But that is an advantage for cleaning and reusing them.

I use the CE2's exclusively. The stainless for out and about and clear for normal use. They will both break if your not careful. I have had the ceramic cups break on the stainless and the clear shell on the clear break at time's. There is a learning curve to use them. Removing the O rings is a little tricky and typically how I would damage them if I do. I have been using them since Rev 2 and have only broken a hand full (maybe 5).

I should mention that I only use VV mods. I tune the voltage in to what works best with the carto's I am using. Also all my mods have the ability to stand upright. So I do not replace any of the O rings. If I am going to be very active I might replace the middle O ring upside down (push it in with my drip tip) that seems to keep it from leaking back out the tip. If you watch the classified's they pop up for sale for whatever reason and you can get a discount.

I also recommend middle of the road on the Ohms as the higher Ohms are too cool for me and the lower are to hot or have the potential to burn out.

Just my two cents

I have both the steel and clearomizers all XLs. I didn't like the 1st steel ones I had because I always got a burnt taste. I'd gotten some clearomizers for my bf to try and he really liked them so I tried them myself. I don't know why, but they seem to work a lot better than the steel ones. Yes, they will crack and I've had a couple come apart on me. I recently found out how to put them back together and I now will take them apart deliberately to clean them. When they crack around the bottom, I just flip the tube over and put the uncracked edge at the mouthpiece end and they continue to work just fine.

Despite the maintenance involved, my current set up of a Tornado 1000 Mah battery and an XL clearomizer is the closest I've come to vaping nirvana. The hits are full and consistent, the battery lasts me 18+hrs (I've yet to kill the battery in a day), and I fill my carto twice on an average day (approx 3.5-4mil/day)

I haven't used the tank system as I quit using standard atomizers over a year ago in favor of cartomizers, but even though these are a bit fragile, it's the best vaping experience I've had in over a year.

I'd recommend giving them a try and see how you do with them.

Note: I don't use the flexible shringe tip to fill them because I have a really hard time with it. I've been using an 18g needle which does widen the holes in the rubber cap, but I haven't noticed that it's had any negative effect. Time will tell.

Good luck and welcome to vaping.

I actually use them all.
The Clearomizers on my KR8 passtrough and I am real happy with them. They are a pain to refill, but they work well. I haven't had any of them crack yet.
The LR attys, I use on my 3.7v mod and Rivas. They work great. Run a little hot for some of my juices though. I strictly drip with these anymore. It's really hard to keep them wet running carts.
The Tank it beautiful! I little light in the taste department, but last a long time between fills and is pretty simple to use. The LR attys will be out for the Tank by the end of March. This should liven up the Tank threads. :)
I guess you can say negative things about everything, but I use different PV's for different applications, moods etc. I just love all the options vaping has. Analogs never offered so much diversity!
