I tried ce2's because i thought they looked easier but after getting a burning taste i had to fiddle with them, clean them and cut them to get them to work properly, then i had to tilt all the time for wicking. Too much hassle for me and i went back to normal cartos.

I second this. I've tried both. If you don't mind the fiddling and modding, then give them a shot. Personally I won't waste my time or money on them again.

I don't get why CE2s get so much bad press. Honestly, you just take the inner seal out, cut a /\ into the seal slot, put it back on and fill with a syringe from there on out. Not much different to popping the top off a normal carto to fill it and I don't see anyone complaining that that's too hard to do. It's not constant fiddling. It's a one time job. Like someone else said as well, you can just take the seal out and put the doughnut back in and that's it done, don't even need a syringe anymore.

I use CE2s daily with vg. No wicking problems. My hand hasn't fallen off from tilting my pv upside down for the whole of one second every 20 - 30 minutes either.

Exceptional cartomisers that require a very basic mod to work optimally and from there they are very easy to fill. They last for months, just dry burn every 10 - 20 fills and they are like-new. The first thing to go is the wick falling off after months of use. You get five of these for the price of one atomiser.

CE3? Bottom coil fiddly piece of junk not worth fiddling with :D I'm such a hypocrite

I wouldn't write CE2s off completely. It was like night and day using them after being stuck on atomisers and cartomisers I'd had to throw away once every few days because they don't handle vg and don't keep up with wicking vg. Don't get me started on ego T's either...

i might want to correct myself on the ce2. the CE2 XL works perfectly out of the box and also in my arry tank HOWEVER the short CE2 is not as good due to the fact that the center post is not secured to the ceramic cup well. so that might post a leaking problem on itself.

i've been using short ce2 510 without issue. agree that the center post isn't fixed, but hasn't been a problem. wasn't as happy with the tall ce2 because there was more condensation. bottom line is that the ce2 shouldn't be dismissed out of hand. some room for improvement but these are worth the investment.

hERES my take on it. I have been vaping for 1 month mind you and i have used both Clearomizers (the smoked white one) and also smokeymizers. the smokeymizers as most of us know have the wick at the bottom and at the top there is a little plug that you remove to fill er up. Now the interesting thing is after i bought these things pretty much every review on you tube basically except for a few gave these clearomizers and smokeymizers really bad reviews. the white clearomizers (not clear) the trick to filling them is instead of sticking the short needle directly DOWN one of the two holes, what i do is i push the needle up against the side of the hole so that when i press down the needle is rubbing against the side of the tube and what that does is it mostly prevents creating a LARGE rip in the rubber flange , so this in turn results in LESS much much less leaking in fact the last 2 have not leaked at all. the funny thing is the one that i had that did leak , thats the one that i injected the needle DOWN STRAIGHT in the hole and when i looked at it i saw that RIP in the flange which was wnough for the thing to start leaking. when i started pushing the needle on the side of the tube the tearing was very minimal so the liquid really couldnt get out, IM A HAPPY CAMPER! most wont agree with me cause the review i watched people dont want to have to tinker with these things and thats cool, i just happen to be obessed with making these work. I ALSO have silver non clear metal clearomizers, and those are great cause #1 NO LEAKING, STRONG , and even though you cant see through them i figured out how to refill just by injecting a half of ml, just to be safe,, when the vapor is gone i fill another half.. this works for me,, grant it ok i have tinkered with a few of these and lost 2 or 3 , but SINCE then, ihave been roating a few and THEY VAPE, THEY DONT LEAK... not bad for a newbie. now with the smokeymizers those you have to remove this annoying plug and the key is to put the condom on when filling and make sure the needle is not totally covering the hole , you want to leave some path open and tilt the unit and fill SLOWLY , very slowy, then cap it off wit the plug. I HAVE BEEN USING THAT ONE for 2 days NO LEAKS.. HOPEFULLY , my luck will stay like this.. but again i like messin with these and just wanted to shae info later VAPERS

I don't recommend them because CE2s need some fiddling to get them working how they should be working. Plus.. I haven't found the taste and TH to be all that great on them. The CE3s are great when they work but in my experience, they tend to leak out of the bottom even when the bung (hehe, silly name for the stopper.. hehe) is securely placed. Actually.. I almost quit vaping because CE2s and CE3s were terrible but that's for a different day..

I've found Boges to be more reliable than Ce2s or CE3s and the Boges brought faith in vaping back again for me. :]

Hope that helps!
My problem is the wicking is slow. Fine for short hits, left to sit a bit. But when you open that new found fantastic flavor, and start hitting them hard, there will be some burnt hits.

Seems they can be modded to 'improve' that.. But if I have to spend time tweaking the carto, I might as well just drip.

for me i have few problems with ce2 (new version) havent tried ce3 yet due to ce2's lasting so long.
if the wick is too dry i do following:
1) turn it upside down to re-wet the top of the wick
2) tighten it slightly so my inhale of vapour will produce more negative pressure on liquid and draw it into atomizer
3) blow lightly into atty a bit when going outside into cold weather to equalize pressure
4) use 50% vg 50% pg, pg to get liquid runny, vg for the vapour

if it leaks:
1) push down on rubber grommet to make sure it's snug enough
2) check needle to make sure it's not too big and deforms grommet when putting in liquid
3) discard it and use a fresh one (allways have a freshly filed one with silicone caps from cartomizers in pocket)

for me ce2 have been a big step up from cartomizers both in taste and ease of use, but it did take some getting use to in the beginning, best of luck!!!
