I think like the juices, everyone is different and I suggest that everyone tries something once.

I've been waffling on whether to buy a clearo (and an X2) or not but I'm going to wait. I really like the 78mm batts but not a huge fan of cartos. I can't tell you how many times I've pulled clearos & X2's in and out of my SI cart.

All I need is that the ce3 does not leak, it would be perfect for me.

i like the X2 650,i have 3,,,,2 autos and 1 manual,,,i don't like the manual except for dry burning.
i have 3 clearomizers and one i have never used,,,i do not like them,,,they did not leak on me,,,but you can not turn them upside down,,,,,so if your laying on couch you will have a mess, plus you have to lay them on their side once in awhile so they will wick properly.
some folks like them ,but i don't,different strokes.

I guess we are in the minority because I am not a big fan of manuals either. :)

I've mostly held off on buying clearos because I have a plethora of cartos (the result of a vacation early in my vaping career). The biggest thing for me is leaking. I throw these things in my pocket, on the table, etc. That's why I don't think clearos would work well for me. But I don't like cartos because I have no idea how much is in it. That's why I was glad to read your experience with ce3's.

I must be in the minority. Right now, I think I prefer the clearos over the CE3's. The clearos are much easier to fill and I don't have major leaking issues with them. I do carry them around in my purse too. I think it's the burnt taste I have from a couple of my CE3s and one or two not firing on any battery. Once you get that burnt taste, it's hard to get rid of it and forget it. I've never had a burnt taste from a clearo, and they've all fired on all my batteries. I don't want to have to fiddle with a CE3 to make it work right. I just want to fill something easily and have it vape right!

I personally just wanted to try the CE3s and I just bought a manual battery.....I had to spend that cash burning a hole somehow :)....... Now, I am thinking I should just wait for the new version of the CE3s to come in. My berf dey is coming up around when they are supposed to arrive so hoppy berf dey to me.

I am also hoping that I won't mind the manual x2 900. I actually like the auto and I have been carrying that around with a plastic carto holder (holds 5) for less mess to carry around. I have a clearo at work and one at home but even having it at home is a pain because I cannot just leave it out without fear of it falling over and I dont have a good way to keep it tip up.

The vape is nice on the clearo and I like that you can see how much is in it but so far, I keep going back to the cartos and refilling them. Other than running out of juice without knowing.... I can carry them in my pocket, they dont leak, I dont mind the taste and I was hoping the CE3s were the bridge but I have no clue and won't for a bit.

My opinion is that the clearos are good for the house or work but if I had nic juice leak in my pocket, I would not be a happy vaper and I dont want to risk it.

I think you and I have similar interests. :toast:

I just got a manual batt and it's fine, but right now, but I love the auto 78's. I can buy two of them for what it costs for the middle X2. I would rather just keep 2 or 3 78's charged than deal with a bigger batt. That may change later but for now that's where I'm at. Then again, my vape routine may be a bit different as I am a stay-at-home dad.

Thanks to Mr Outlaw, I was not afraid to fill cartos (of which I had plenty because of the aforementioned vacation). I bounce between the two menthol flavors. My setup is this; 5 full cartos of each flavor and when I get low every few days, I take an hour and refill them. I gotta say, the carto holders that drummerskey mentioned are awesome for this.

What I don't like about cartos (I'm a noob) is that I can't really tell when it is empty. And when it's empty, is the carto toast? I am really hoping the ce3s (& and SI's improved version) are what I need to solve my issue.

SI, please get ce3 in stock. I want to give you money! :p

Cheers to ya!

I do the same for the most part, I have two 78mm batts at home and two at work and I use one, recharge the other. I have the Mega PCC but I dont use it anymore; I havent had the need yet. My phone charger has a usb port if I wanted to use the pass-through x2 batt and with two x2's, I have two cords so I can keep one at home and one at work. More of an "break glass in emergency" kinda deal.

I am going to give boiling the cartos a try at some point. If it doesnt work, I will just buy more cartos. I have tried a bunch of different carto flavors and I wouldnt buy most of them again. Capp and RY4 seems to be a "go to" and I like the grape and watermelon but not a whole bunch else. I ordered about 7 - 10ml bottles from the other guys to see about other flavors but I didnt want to go too wild until my taste buds come back. I see no point in trying something and then hating it later.

I am hoping Imagine and SI come through, I want to put their kids through college here :)

I was reading this thread and saw that a lot of people had leaking issues with their ce3s. I just have to say that I got my pack of 5 when SI first got them and never had any of them leak at all other than maybe one drop here and there. I'm not especially careful with them either. I just throw them in my purse pocket :p. Maybe I got lucky?
I am now down to 3 of them though. I dropped one and cracked it. The other one... I'm not sure what happened. The coil just got all mucked up and burnt looking so I threw it out and kept all of the other parts for spares. Anyway, I'm hoping more of these come into stock soon! I'm also excited to try the newly designed ones. :)

Alright I received my new order of ce3s. I finally experienced the leaking that others were talking about on one out of the 4 that I have tried. I found that it happened when I was not careful enough when poking the fill hole for the first fill. Usually I will place the syringe in the fill hole and then very slowly push it to the side towards the tube until the syringe pokes through. This way it makes a nice clean small hole. However, on the one that leaked, I tried to poke it straight down. The syringe ended up slightly tearing through the rubber seal. Instead of poking a very small hole it made a very small TEAR. I think that was enough to let air through to break the vacuum seal and let the carto leak. Just stating an observation that I found which may or may not be the reason some people are getting leaks. :)

That was an interesting observation, T.

I agree.
I think punching that fill hole might be the most critical part to success or failure on these. I really wish the hole was pre-punched. I’ve found some rather easy to punch through the first time and others with a lot of resistance.
