Hi guys
Well I have been at it again.
I found an old cell phone with a 3.7 V rechargeable battery.
I removed most of the guts and placed an atomizer from an E health in where the antenna used to be.
I had to drill out the screws so I have a hair bungee holding it together until I can get to town and find some real small screws.
But hay !! I can charge it up in the car or here at home.
Smoking hot idea Because most of us have old phones around.
vape on people.

I would include more detailed photos but my downloaded photos of my cold heat mod has used up most of my allowed bandwidth on this site.
I am working on a new mod.
It's one of those flashlights that you crank to charge up.
Turns out the thing has a coin li-ion Bat with 3.6 volt
Then somewhere around here I remember having a radio that can be plugged in Or charged by solar OR cranked.
I will try to find that and see what power voltage it has.
If someone wants to donate any old atomizers I would be a happy camper.
All I can do now is wait for my last E health bat to take a dump on me.
Till then
Keep On V aping

Ha ha .....snap.....I have just converted my old nokia phone....the batteries are perfect for the job.

The only thing is that I removed the phones electronics but now I am worried because I checked out the nokia charger and it pumps out over 12 volts....now I am wondering if the phones electronics played a part in regulating the charging. ...I am going to try using a 3.7v charger that is a bit closer and only pumps out 5.7 volts

You can remove some of the guts like the speakers and such.
But for charging most of these phones have a circuit dedicated to keep the battery from overcharge ( 3 rd pole on the battery I believe )
If you remove to much you may have to hook up your charger directly to the battery .
Then without the 3rd pole I am not certain the bat. will charge properly.
If it will take a charge you will have to be careful to not overcharge <<Tricky>>
Continue to experiment and let us all know your results.

We need to learn from the mistakes of others... Their is simply not enough time to make them all ourselves.

Thanks crowman ....now I am cursing myself for doing a crappy rush job, without even having a plan in my head. The phone could have been a much better nod......now I am probably going to end up ruining the battery. ..damn.

NAAAA Dude
If your chosen charger is putting out under 4 volt and you don't leave it on for to long you should be fine.
Even the e cig battery's tell you to charge them for 3 hours after the first charge of 5 hours.
Mine at least suggested you NOT leave them on the charger over night.
But Hay!!
At least you had the desire to do one and that's a But load more than a lot of folks will try.
Go do another they can only get better.
I did one with a cold heat soldering gun.. It's still the workhorse of my e fleet.
4 rechargeable aa battery's
SWEET!!

The phone is actually my second mod ...I have also modded a 3.6 volt black and decker screwdriver it looks like a Penquin but it works great.....although I should change the batteries in it because they are about 5 years old and they don't quite last a full day on a charge...... it's fun trying to work out what to mod next.........lol.
