So hot wrap can only be done by a torch? Any other way? I tried cold wraps but results aren't good and ready to give up

yes you also can electrically wrap it. take the atty you are going to be using and connect a length of wire. connect to positive and neg posts. try to use a length of wire that is not to high in resistance. lets say your shooting for a 1.5 ohm coil, well try to make a length of wire that's 2.0 ohms, maybe this piece is 2 inches or so. anyways after the leads of the wires are connected just make a sort of loop in the wire and fire the device, this will heat up the wire and make it glow. let it glow for 10 secs or so then let it cool down for maybe 5 seconds. continue this heating and cooling for about 10x's. after the last heat up disconnect the positive nut, install the wick, and wrap. you want to do this fairly quickly. heating the wire in this manner gets the wire very pliable, almost like lead, at this point it wraps really nice and tight. good luck

Length seems to be optional to me... i mean 1. its ceramic so its not going to short out (? thats my assumption) if its touching the bottom.
2. what i mean is, you can use a short one since we usually end up tilting to wick the juice anyway.

Try getting the narrower FC2K wicks and slide a nextel or hollow ekowool sleeve over it... that does the same as cheesecloth but won't burn and can be cleaned and dry burned to further the cleaning (water or acohol soak/dry burn) without rebuilding the coil.
- torch the eko or nextel to make it firm and burn off residues first
- *just enough to wrap the coil, just above the wick hole - or you choke the wicking if it goes into the hole.

30g is probably your best bet; a good medium between 32 and 28...
