I like to chain vape period. I lowered my nic from 12 to 6 to accommodate my non work days. Use a 12 to wake up then I stick with 6-9 strength to avoid headaches. Advantages to doing some DIY so to answer the OP succinctly: always.
I'm on day 5 no analogs, new to the forum, but I do the same. It makes me feel better about it knowing I'm not the only one who does it. It's worth it not to smoke -- no matter what!!
