Yep - google it - you'll find a couple builds!
I remember now - you may need to "go around the back" to get a wire in one post without hitting the edge of the cup.... see how both ends are through the hole from the inside?

Super cool, I was most concerned about MM fitting in that tight gap between cap inner wall and wrap around post.
I just retired my 11 month old MM coil, readywick finally disintegrated
I've done it... it's tricky, but totally possible. You're going to love it!

I have my first chalice coming and am so excited reading this thread.
I've wanted one since the first, but could never find the availability nor the funds...
I have a VVWoodvil that has been parked on the shelf for quite some time and I'm hoping this is the atty that can bring it back into rotation:D
I'm a .7 MM readyxwick MTL'r all day every day kinda fella and thanks for all these great posts!
Hi ! As you can see in my signature we have a setup very similar :) , maybe because we live in the same beautiful place? :D I can guarantee you will have the best vaping experience with this CIII setting. Be VERY careful because the MM wire is very thick and will lift the post screws, dont overtight the cap or it will touch and short!
Happy vaping , uaglio'!

While I love the machining and overall quality of the Chalice 3, I would ask Mark Bugs, if it were possible to add another cut on top of the post screws, a PLUS PATTERN "+", as it's hard to use a tiny flat head screw driver as they slip left and right when tightening down. Making the top of the post screws, so you could use a flat head, or a Phillips head, would be the only
suggestion I could think of.

Agreed and mine hasn't even arrived yet, but personally I don't like flathead screws for that very reason. My only gripe about this atty without having used it, is that and the fact the screws are specialized and pricey - I greatly prefer a standard screw I can pick up anywhere online in bulk. All that said, I hope my Chalice arrives tomorrow, can't wait to try it out!!

@element77, I would suggest that when you're mounting your MM coil, be really careful about unscrewing the post screws to the point where they come off. They are HORRIBLE to get back on if they've come all the way off. Also, they are tiny and would be impossible to find if they happened to drop to the floor....my floor, anyway (carpet!!) Not to mention they cost $6 apiece to replace them....if you can even find them in stock. Just be careful.

I agree that maybe another slit going perpendicular to the original one might be nice, but at least the one that's there is wide enough I can use a bigger screwdriver in it. My tiny little Dollar Store specials or my tiny little jeweler's tools won't work. Had to break out my "real" screwdriver...

After you mount your coil, make sure you check ohms with the cap on. It's a tight little chamber with not much headroom.

Yeah, those little screw heads are kind of a pain. Takes a much larger screwdriver than the standard freebie screwdriver.

I dropped my first-ever Reo spring thanks to the tight clearance between the cap and the posts. Since then, I pretty much just capture the wire on the insides of the posts and wiggle it off from the backside so there's nothing coming out towards the sides. I have a nice little spot on both the post and the cap where the short was...looks like a tiny little spot weld. The spring dropped instantly and proved the safety of it to me, and I marked the battery for future reference to keep an eye on it. It's been just fine ever since, so a $5 spring saved a $10 battery!

You're going to love the Chalice, it makes you feel like Vaping Royalty!

Back when I bought my Chalice II I braved the trip to my storage area to hunt for all my screwdriver screw starters. A monumental task considering how many hand/shop tools, exotic woods, supplies and many other things I have stored there on industrial shelving units (probably17-18 tool boxes for hand tools alone). Anyway, I finally found some of them, including one that was just the ticket for micro slotted screws. So taking my Chalice II screws and Chalice III screw caps all the way off is not an issue... they are easy to reinstall. I have never dropped a mod, but I drop coils/other small items all the time that always seem to end up in the most tucked away corners/places where I can't even see them. So while I was at it I brought back a couple of different sizes of both my telescoping magnetic and telescoping claw pick up tools that make finding/retrieving the dropped coils, screws, Kanthal wire cut offs, etc even on the carpet or out of sight pretty easy even without getting up from a chair or stooping over.

 Pretty smart....or extremely lazy.....or both. LOL. I have a magnet that I use for wire ends. I also use it to magnitize my screwdrivers. Handy.

you need to use a wide flat blade, a second cut as an X won't work for a phillips driver here... I usually use a razorblade to tighten these CIII screws, makes it real easy

Yeah, I've never seen a micro screw driver set with a big wide flathead blade. Razor blade is cool, and when I tug too hard on my coil, and ruin it, I can use it to CUT MY WRISTS! :)

I'll have to lean toward pretty smart since the floor/ground is not a part of my world anymore (unless I fall on them).

Spydro, what is that tool?

Lots of different kinds of screwdriver screw starters... IE, mechanical, magnetic, spring loaded, etc designs. Few of them are small enough to work with micro slotted screws though. I have several, but the micro is a wedge/split head type.
