I have two authentics and one clone. Not much difference. Maybe check out this thread in our little forum down South: Chalice Clone Comparison | Electronic Cigarettes Forum South Africa
Phenomenal info there. Thanks so much for the link, Matthee.

I'm sorry others had the same Reo spring issue but knowing about them is a bit of a relief. (Misery really does love company [emoji4]) What's odd is, the atty works fine on my VW device, even after the Woody spring collapsed.

Your link also referred to the burnt wicking I've experienced...the question for me now is, are these issues (position of posts, catching the wires and burning wicks) part of a reasonable learning curve for a specialty device or are they unacceptable quirks? I'm having a heck of a time deciding.

I think most here will tell you they're very reasonable given the end result. For me they're unacceptable period when im spoiled with attys so much easier and more spacious to work with. It's totally up to you to decide. The end result is probably worth it. Just like the nuppin. I can tell you the nuppin is worth it - but that said, mine is long gone and not missed whatsoever.

Trying to find bliss within the Reo's limitations is interesting. I'm not sure I want to try another small one. Most likely will just wait until I find a bottom feeder that can handle a decent sized deck.

Why not give your REO a hair cut, and make it a LP?
Rob will do it for you, or it can be done DIY.

What ya need to try is the next step up, a nuppin. It's a 16mm rba. Too small of an atty and you can get a nice size coil in it.. too large and you loose flavor or ya gota go super low ohms.. medium atty is where I'm feeling it right now. Big enough for large coils yet small enough chamber for thst great flavor! Great ACF to boot. Keep the air just right and wham! Serious heat and flavor!

Prob is there's no production atm and none in stock. You will have to fan them second hand currently unless so.e thing great happends and pdib goes for another run.

Horrors! I can't do that to my faithful friend & road dog! And, though I love the Reo Grand I prefer the side mounted button of my Woodvil. I hope to find a TC bottom feeder with a similar button placement.

After Sloth's mention of it I started looking at the Nuppin. I so hate when vape gear is scarce because desperation sucks the common sense right out of me. Reads like a good one but I'm going to pass on it for now.

Ahh, OK. Then what you needz is a new woodvil. A 2015 Woodvil. They've got yer sidebutton, new contacts, new 510, and they're flat-top so you can run ANY atty on it.

Kablam. Getcherself a Rogue or a Derringer on that, and you'll thank me.

Now we're getting closer, I think. What kind of batteries are you using with yours?

Ditto ^^^^ I have 3 of those babies and if the wife wasn't so keen I'd have no probs ordering another 2 I've been eyeing.

Best feeling in the hard.. perfect comfy fit and warm not cold like metal. Get ya a poly coat model so you won't have to stress about the wood so much. Just treat the untested inside with a small brush and mineral oil once every 2 months to protect it from moisture and you got your self one hell of a vape!
