Hey Guys ....

Ramping up for Run #3 here in the next couple weeks ... So far, roughly 750 USB PT's have made it to their forever homes .....

I would like to hear what you would like in a USB PassThrough ....

We plan to switch from aluminum to stainless steel .... and carry the Protege Button over to the USBpass ....

Is there anything else you guys would like to see?

Thanks Guys and Gals!

As long as its all steel or all aluminum, when you start mixing metals issues arise(they like to bond/rust all that good stuff)

In other words, is the adapter alum or steel, it should match the body.

maybe a squared side to help it stay on my desk(built in or a sleeve maybe like the pen grips)

i would suggest a LED but they can be a pain.

Great ideas Vapor .... We would keep SS with SS and Alum with Alum ... but that isn't to say, stopping someone from crossing over ;) I tested alum adapts on the Protege and saw no ill effect. Assuming some routine maintenance (cleaning, etc...) I really don't see much of an issue!

LED ..... hmmmmmmm

More flexible cord...

Other than that.. perfecto man....

Good suggestion Titan ...

Maybe a cord that was a tad shorter?

Not a Problem gep ... would 4-5ft suffice instead of the roughly 6' that are at now?

But if the cord was more flexible it could stay a bit longer so the excess could be tucked away or something. I would think...

How much longer till the improved version would be available? a month or two I'd guess? was planning on buying one but if it won't be much longer I'll wait for the improvements.

Unlike the current cord, I am flexible! (ROFL!) Either more flexible or shorter. Right now it's a bit hard to manage and I realize that there are work arounds but it's a wish list and that's what I wish for. :)

More flexible cord is definitely one.

The only real issue I've had(I've even started a thread to try and help others) is finding a suitable power source. I don't know what u could really do about this. It seemed difficult finding an inexpensive USB adapter that could handle 5V at approx 1.5amp. I eventually did. You may want to include a working adapter in the package or have one for sale as an accessory on your website. Otherwise the PT is awesome.

Cash,

I've been using the passthrough for 2 weeks now so I may have fresh perspective on the device. First off, it's a great device. If it got lost, run over by a car, stolen etc, I would feel a sense of loss and buy another one right away. That opinion formed just after 2 weeks of use. I may be in the minority but I do like the cable and its thickness was the primary reason why I looked into the device. Yes, it's ungainly and takes effort to get coiled up out of the way, but I see it as a necessary evil. It provides the current needed to dump out the billowing clouds the product is known and praised for. Also, the flexibility of the device to use a variety of atomizers sets it apart from other products.

Some thoughts on how the device can be improved (many are wishful thinking):

juice delivery mechanism - Becase my laziness should be overcome by someone elses inventiveness. I know not possible with the number of different atomizers supported.

Improved threads - on the body and adapters. It may just be the adapters and body I received which cross threaded a lot and dissimilar metals with one being softer, had a tendancy to strip the other.

LED - I know its a pain, but im a sucker for shiny objects and flashy lights. Besides, lets me know when the thing is activated, intentionally or by accident, the latter of which can be a bad thing.

Swivel - speaking for myself, I find that with the cable angle and stiffness the button locates randomly around the device axis and I have to hunt around for the button by feeling around for it. A swivel connector can orient the button where I want it, say my thumb, on demand and consistently. Something functioning like this perhaps:

resize.php

Wider adapter channel - Its currently a minor/small pain to cleanout the trough in the adapter from gunk and juice that collects in there. My q-tip doesnt get in there just right to clean it real good.

Different colors - yeah I know, but a metallic blue would be kind of cool with the brushed aluminum trim, woudln't it?

Hate to be uncreative but the reason I have no suggestions is that the PT is just perfect for me as it is.

I have a pair of the first ones with the 20ga cord and have been using both every day. They seem fit to last forever, and that's even though I'm a lazy slob and never even clean the contacts. The brass is nice and brown but the vape is still as full and flavorful as it was on day one.

Also - and I don't know why - no atomizer has EVER failed while mounted on the PT. The Prodigy occasionally sends one to the scrap heap but never the PT. Geh wis! (trans: go figure)

A perfect product if ever I saw one.

I love my PT and frankly there's not much I would change.
Like others here, I wouldn't mind seeing an LED.
Many have mentioned they would like a shorter cord or a shorter body for the PT... I don't see it that way.
I like the length of the cord, I don't mind the body length, and I wouldn't mind if it had to be made even longer to make room for the LED.

I'd really like it though if you'd offer a car USB adapter for use with the PT or even a standard USB charger for some of us who still use standard batteries. I purchased a USB-to-car-lighter adapter from vaporcountry and it works fantastic with the PT, so I'd like to see you guys carrying one. I'm sure a lot of us would go for it.

Also, I want a round button, I know it sounds silly but I love the button on the prodigy SO much... I want a round button.
The button's action on the PT is just fine, but round just looks so much more sleek than the current square one.

That's my 2 cents :p

Cash, the cord thickness has to go, I understand you built a tank and thanks for that, but..........................

I used to carry a power pack with a PT in my lower cargo pocket. Now I would never carry the current PT as it looks like I am wired up like my cable tv.

Maybe some 4' with the thickness of the Iphone usb cable would be more practical.

I never leave the house with this thing, it is strictly emergency back up at home.

My 2c,

-Paul

Trapped within my imagination
Definitely a more flexible cord/ with a swivel would be sooo sweet..
I would love the option of purchasing both the longer and a shorter length in the cord....
The shorter cord was just perfect for travel or walking around...Thinner cord would be really nice too without taking anything away but, I realize that one is difficult (smile)

The only other thing that worries me is the Kensington not being able to handle the PS PT..If that happens, I have no idea what else to try..
