Changing Cartomizer 'Skins"

I searched but couldn't find a thread on this... What's the easiest way to change the colour on a cartomizer? I love cartos but not the garish colours they come in.

I thought of putting something over them, like a sticky label, but that would make them thicker than the battery. Couldn't be bothered trying to get the original skin off it - let's face it, a lot of work for something I'm going to throw away in a day or two.

Can you colour them with some sort of pen - that won't come off on my lips
Like a gold or silver metallic pen, a sharpie or something?

Or is there a better way of disguising the colours?

peel off the skin, soak em alcohol untill all the adhesive is losened, wipe it off with a alcohol soaked rag. then use heat shrink tubing from wall mart and a hair dryer.

Yeah, I saw the other thread on modding with heat shrink, and may well give it a try.

Could also try to make some new design thin vinyl stickers after you remove old?? Sometimes art supply stores sell preprinted vinyl

No WalMart in Tasmania, or anywhere in Australia, AFAIK !!! We have K-mart and Big W, which I imagine are similar.
But sometimes I do wonder if we're missing out...

I read the thread on making your own skins. I actually do have some vinyl inkjet paper I bought to make a bumper sticker, so I guess that would work.
