I'm at the end of my 4th month charging the same two 650mah Ego batteries every day. They still give me all day use between the two, even with the Ego mega cylinder atty. In fact, I haven't had an atty burn out yet either and I tend to pick one and use it every day instead of switching them around.

Oh I hope you knocked on some wood after you typed that :)

Will it produce more vapor with regular atomizers comparing to 510 battery?
I'm thinking about changing it too :)

Not sure I understand the question. You can only use the large carts with the large atty and only on an Ego. Does the Ego produce more vapor than a 510?....no comparison, MUCH more.

Sorry, my english is not perfect :) I meant amount of vapor with eGo battery + 510 atomizer vs 510 battery + 510 atomizer.

No problem...your English is just fine. There is no comparison....Ego's produce at least 2-3 times the vapor a 510 does and the batteries last much longer as well.

OK I know there are TONS of ego fans and I am not disputing its UBERNESS, but for the newbie vaporer who may not want to invest in an ego right off the bat the "Hello 016" is another potential option to try at a fraction of the cost. If you aren't concerned about the "cone" atomizer look and just want a long lasting manual battery then I would highly suggest it. The Hello with a Low Res atty goes EVERYWHERE with me and I would still be chain smoking the dirty analogs if it wasn't for this battery. I've never had to worry about charging throughout the day/vapor loss throughout the day due to a dying battery. :2c:
edit: the Hello is compatible with all 510 attys so anything that fits on the ego (aside from the seperate ego cone) will also fit on a Hello

My wife and I have been using eGos for 4 or 5 months now. My only complaint is that the batteries aren't very reliable. We've fried about a dozen batteries. At $20 a pop, it adds up. We have yet to see a battery die a natural death - the electronics always burn out before the battery is used up. You need at least 2 or 3 spare batteries on-hand at all times. When they fix the batteries the eGo will be perfect.

No, I take that back. There is one more thing that needs to be fixed - the eGo needs a shutoff switch. It's way too easy to accidentally fire it in your pocket. Gives new meaning to "hot pockets".

All this being said, I'm still using an eGo. By the way, eGo, Tornado, and Riva are all basically the same with different branding.

Ouch....$20.00? That's a lot. Is it typical that they fry so often?

Love the eGo Mega! No problems with the batteries. Just ordered the button cover for those times it will go in my purse - don't want it accidently being pushed...you know a woman's purse...

Yes...do know a woman's purse! My boyfriend calls it my big bag of crazy. Just ordered the cover and a case.

I was vaping for a few months with a 510 and recently gave an eGo a try. I became a convert in no time. The extended battery life is great, and I get a lot more vapor (and top off my cartidges much less frequently as well).

If you already have a 510, you can pick up a battery for $20 and a USB charger for about $30 (give or take) just to give it whirl with your exisiting 510 attys and carts, without having to shell out for a whole new starter kit. I'm liking it, so plan to pick up a second eGo battery. I still have my 510 batteries as a backup. Although I have to say, I prefer taking my 510s when I go out to a bar or restaurant for aesthetic reasons.

I know but that cone thing makes it a pain to unscrew the atty. Wow - I'm really lazy ain't I? I like the button cover idea - think I'll order a few. But thanks for the advice.

I see your point I use the mega cartridges and atty which don't use the cone. The mega atty and cartridge are the main reason I like the ego. It holds 2-2.5 ml. That's about 40-50 drops.

I started with the 510, then went on to the eGo. The eGo is great, but I did have one of the batteries develop the "stuck switch" problem right after I got the kit. Drew at Nhaler swapped it out for a Riva battery which is even better than the eGo batteries (in my opinion). The Riva has a better switch and is 900 mah vs. 650 mah for the eGo, so they last longer. Plus they are generally cheaper than the eGo batteries.

I bought a Riva kit after that so I now have the one remaining eGo battery (which has worked fine for over 4 months) and three Riva batteries. I vape like a fiend but have never run out of batteries even though I usually only carry 3 of the 4 in my kit. The Riva and the eGo are perfectly compatible with each other since they are all 510 based and use the same charger. I recently started using 1.7 and 2.5 ohm low res cartomizers with my Riva's and eGo batteries....All I can say is WOW! Great vaping and good battery life even with the low res.

One other tip: Upgrade your "USB to A/C" adapter from the .5 amp adapter that comes with the kits to a 2 amp adapter. The Riva and eGo batts recharge in about 1/2 the time with the 2 amp unit. I got mine at Madvapes. The 2 amp adapter also works with a 5 volt passthru (while the .5 amp doesn't have enough power for the passthru)
