Hi!
I wondered if I could rinse the coil with water, now that I'm trying a different taste to not mix it with the last one.
Or… is it a bad idea and could potentialy damage the coil and is it after the first hits, that the new liquid has mixed in and you won't taste the previous one?
Thanks

P.S.
This is one is a really dumb idea but I was wondering - what would happen if you'd pour orange juice?
It would be funny if someone would actually risk their coil to answer this question.

Sure. You can Rinse Out a Coil Head. Many people do to Extend the life of their Coil Heads.

Just gently Shake/Blow out as much water as Possible. And then prime it with your New e-liquid.

The First couple of hits will be Weak until the remaining Water in the Cotton is used up. But after that, you should be Good to Go.

Or you could put the rinsed out Coil Head in a Sunny Window or on a Fan until the cotton is dry.

Thanks alot!
Probably a good way to get rid of the excess water is to put the coil head in rice.

A lot will depend on the flavors. Some flavors will just never disappear. Back in the olden days with some basic atomizers, I would use cola to get rid of stubborn flavors (I haven't tried that for a long long time.). Hey, it works for battery acid, right?

That is Also True.

A Flavor like Cinnamon can be almost Impossible to remove.

You're right, this is a really dumb idea.

The temperature to vaporize water (or juice) is much higher than vegetable glycerin, so our e-cig coils would have a very difficult time trying. It would likely ruin the coil.

Back when I cleaned coils I used ethyl alcohol (cheap vodka, or everclear if it's available in your area). It evaporates clean, and dries faster than water. Now I just use rebuildables, and re-wick whenever I want a clean break between flavors (although with most flavors, the changeover time is rather brief anyway and so I can keep the same wick if it's still in good shape.) ...when I do use flavors. Half my tanks anymore have unflavored in them anyway.

Coil heads can be washed. If you use water I recommend air drying on a paper towel overnight before reuse, or force drying with a blow dryer. This obviates the steam and gurgling to get rid of the water before you can get vapor again. Coils can also be rinsed in pure grain alcohol-- vodka or everclear, please, don't use rubbing alc-- and dried. This does a better job of cleaning them and gets rid of gunk buildup to boot.

But most of the time I just poured the new juice and let the flavor be "interesting" for a while. About the only things that never go away is menthol and cinnamon...
